The next day Xavier said there was something he really wanted to tell her and she needed to here it so he said "I", and paused "I wanted to know if you want to go... to the movies tomorrow." She seemed kind of confused it didn't seem that important to her and why he made a big deal out of it, but she said yes she would go with him.

They went and saw the movie and talked and had a really good time, afterwards they went to eat and that was it, he still never told her. They had a good time for the rest of her trip he thought it would be a good idea to wait until next time she came, and tell her he wanted to date her. This would be good since she isn't around for long at a time.

She was about to go back home anyway, and he didn't want to bring it up right before she left, of course he was just looking for an excuse for more time to figure out how to tell her.

Then Aletta left and went back to her country, while she was there on the bus she looked at the letter he wrote. She kept reading the same line over and over - I know that I have someone to talk to, someone that will listen, understand, and know me. She thought about this, it seemed true; it seemed like she knew him better than anyone else.

Then as she was putting it away in her bag she saw a flower petal in her bag. So she looked through her entire bag dumping all her stuff into the isle of the bus, and turning her bag inside out looking for this flower. She never found one, and she could not figure out where the petal came from then she thought that it fell out of the letter earlier, but it didn't make sense, she didn't remember a flower with the letter. She would have to wait until she saw Xavier again, then she could ask him about it.

While she was in her country she had a good time, she always did and she felt like she should be there, she felt like she belonged there, even though she missed Xavier, all the time. She knew she should be, and would be with Xavier someday. Her and Xavier were meant to be together and she knew they would be somehow, someway so she just kept thinking someday. Someday she would see him, and talk to him. Someday they would be together and they would be together forever.

Her life was just full of somedays anything she hoped for would always be so far away. Whenever she tried to get closer to what she wants it seems something gets in the way.

She was in her town when this kind of thing happened again. She was sent into a meeting and in the meeting she was told that she might have to stay there all the time, in their country's best interest. They told her that she should consider, at least thinking about it if they end up not forcing her to. She asked "what about home and..." they interrupted and said that the country was her home.

Aletta left the meeting and went to her room. She wouldn't let them make her stay, and never see Xavier again. The next day she asked her parents if she could go back. She didn't want to be taken from Xavier. They said they didn't think that was a good idea after yesterday. Aletta said she wouldn't stay in the country all the time. Her mother said she still had to run the country. Aletta said she still could run the country, what they were doing now was working just fine. Her mother said that the people in their country would start to think that she didn't want to rule.

Aletta mumbled saying "I don't want to rule the country." Her mother asked what she said, and Aletta said "nothing." Then she went up to her room. She started to pack a bag, because she wasn't staying all the time. She threw the bag on the floor, and laid on her bed and started crying.

She woke up in the morning and her mother came in, and saw her bag, but didn't say anything. Aletta looked at it too. Her mother said "you are not leaving..." Aletta interrupted" "I am leaving and you can't stop me."

Her mother said that she could visit, but she still had to come back. Aletta looked shocked that she could go now. Her mother said that since it meant so much to her, she would try to get them to change their minds.

Aletta was so happy; she went outside and played with some of the children in the country. Then she asked when she could leave. Her mother said that she could leave in three days. So in those three days she took extra measures to make sure that nothing could keep her from going back. Aletta and her mother were talking and Aletta said thank you for letting her go. Her mother said she was welcome.

Then as her mother was leaving the room, she said to herself "I will never understand why you want to go back to that town so much." Aletta heard her and after she was gone Aletta said "because Xavier is there." Her mother came back in and asked if she said something. Aletta said no, she must have been hearing things.

Then the next day, she was so ahead on her work for the country that she got to relax. She was thinking and pulled out the flower petal from the letter Xavier gave her. She said "tomorrow I will finally get to ask you what this is about." Then she read the letter again, and she read - I cannot wait to see you, one day I spend with you is better than all the days I spend with anyone else, you make every day better. She said "I can't wait to see you, and you make all my days better too."
