Fever… L

“Ok, I forgive you. Can you let me go now?” Am I being too mean? I just want to go somewhere green and full of air. I NEED SOME AIR. “Christina, are we alright now?” “Yes, yes, yes. So please, can you excuse me? I have an important practice to attend. Please just let me go. For our sake.”For our sake? What am I thinking? Is this a drama or something? My head started to feel so dizzy that I have to massage it slowly and I can’t see anything now. “Christina, are you ok? Christina, Christina.” That’s the last wordsI heard before the world turns dark for me.

I open my eyes slowly because I can see there’s a really bright light beside me.I’m in a room and I don’t recognize this room. I’ve never been here before. It looks like my room but the accessories in here are not mine. I slowly lift up my body to sit but my head hurts so much that it drags me back to the position I lie just now. “Christina, you’ve awakened.” “Yeah. Where am I?” My heart starts beating softly as I saw Tucker entering the room. Tucker is holding a glass of water and some pills and I know it is for me. “You’re in my room. Your Mom is outstation so I decided to let you spend some time at my house. I know you have your house keys but there’s no one that can look after you at your house. The doctor says that you blacked out because you didn’t eat anything. My parent is outstation toofor now. So Icooked this porridge for you.”

“Tucker, you talk too much. I’m dizzy so your words sound echoing to me. I’m okay. I need to go home.” “No, you can’t go home. I’m going to look after you until you’re in the pink of health. I’m so sorry I lied to your Mom last night. If you’re mad at me, you don’t have to trouble your own self. I’m going to take care of you as my apology. And you must eat this porridge while it is still hot.” I can’t do anything because my body really needs help now. Tucker helps me sit up- on his bed. I taste the porridge he made and it taste like sand. I cough after having the first bite. “Tucker, I think this is the worst porridge I’ve ever tasted. I’m going to cook for OUR dinner tonight.” “But Christina, you can’t even walk.” “Then, help me.”

Tucker helps me with some steps. “Christina, I think we’re going to have our dinner tomorrow. So may I?” Tucker leaps me into his arms and brings me down to the kitchen. He land my feet back on the ground and I started searching for ingredients. “Do you really know how to cook? I just want to standby my kitchen’s insurance.” “Just wait and see.” I ordered him some ingredients and luckily, his kitchen has everything that I needed. I chop some vegetables and throw everything in the pan. “This is our family’s secret recipe. You’ll never stop dreaming of it once you’ve taste it.” Okay, actually before my grandmother passed away, she loved to teach me some great recipes of hers and she always say that Mom is not interested in cooking, at all. And after my grandmother passed away, Mom started to learn some recipes from the books. I know she felt sad and regretted that she did not want to learn about cooking from her mother back then.
