28

A new chapter of my full of climax life.

Mike and I walk to the car lot and Mike clicks the car key buttons, obviously and proudly, as if it’s a Ferrari car keys. Mike opens the driver’s seat door and slams his body on the seat leaving the car bouncing off his weight. I open the car door open and sit on the front passenger’s seat. “Mike, you seriously don’t know how to be sweet, or even formal, right?” “What do you mean? Owh, I know, you’re talking about the opening-car-doors session? I’m not used to that except on special occasions.” “Whatever Mike.” It takes us about five minutes to reach the café, which means we’ll only have ten minutes to enjoy ourselves for some beverages. And Mike’s radio is playing a song from the same unknown artist, band maybe, that I’ve heard the first time I met him, and believe it or not, that was just yesterday! “Hey, what is this band’s name? I’ve been hearing their songs since yesterday and I think I’m kinda interested to know about them. Maybe Google them out or download some songs.”

Mike keeps his silence mode on and his eyes wander on every shop pretending to search for Starbucks. “What are you searching for?” “Obviously I’m searching for the café! It would be easier if the passenger next to me would love to give a hand.” “Mike, I hate to say this but are you stupid?” Okay, that’s kind of harsh. “What do you mean by are you ‘stupid’? The café is new, of course I don’t know exactly where it is.” “Hello! Wake up little boy! Starbucks have signs even an astronaut from the space can see it. You don’t have to search for it. There’ll be some signs of it maybe a mile or less from the café. We’ll sure find it.” Suddenly the car passes a sign board showing Starbucks some meters away. “See? I’ve told you. Maybe you’re not that kinda know-everything-guy I’ve expected.” I giggle knowing that occasionally, he’s easy to be beaten. “Hey Tina, aren’t you scared or even bother to talk about the speed of my car?” “No, not at all. It’s cool. Keep the car at this speed. You’ll get summoned by a police officer-if you’re born with bad luck- and I’ll just enjoy sitting here. I’m normal with this. My dad used to…” I stop talking because it will reminds me of those happy and funnymoments I had with my father in our car.

“What did your father used to do?” I have to stop this conversation. I don’t want to laugh then start crying. Everyone will think that I’m a psycho. Yes! I’ve got an idea. “Mike! Look, there’s the Starbucks. And there’s a free spot below that tree. Faster, park there before anyone gets the spot. There.” I point toward the empty spot and Mike race the car to the parking space. When I get out of the car, I look at my feet and find out that the car tyres are on the yellow guideline of the park space.”Mike, sometimes I wonder, how did you even get your driving license?” “Since when did you wonder Tina? 12 hours ago?” This guy really want to know how John Morrison kill his opponent cause that’s what I’m gonna do to him right now. “Stop being sarcastic Mike. And make sure anything or everything that I’ll order is on you.” “WHAT? Since when did we make this deal?” I walk to the swinging door of the café and try to think of any deal that I can make. We walk to the corner table and take our own seats.

I think deeply while the waiter takes Mike’s order. “Okay, I want one cup of Cappuccino. That’s all. Take that lady’s order but let me remind you this, she might be a little, weird.” I shoot a murderous eye at Mike. “Don’t bother about him. Do you have anything special today?” The waiter studies the menu and recommends me some drinks. “We have Cappuccino, Black Coffee, White Coffee and our special Brazilian Coffee on half price. Which of them would you like to order?” Okay this is great;none of the beverages mentioned by the waiter interests me. “Hmm, I’ll just order a cup of Iced Green Tea.” “What’s now Tina? I drove all the way here and you just order green tea? When you’re at Starbucks, it’s obvious that this café is popular of its every kind of coffee. And there’s even 50 percent discount today! Come on, order something else.” “Firstly, yes, you drove all the way here and that only takes about 5 minutes. Secondly, you can’t control me on what I want to order, I know how to order and what to order by my ownself. And lastly, I hate coffee. I can’t even taste a single drop of coffee.Owh sorry, that’s all we want to order.”
