A newcomer.
After the practice ended, I called my mom and she said that she’ll be kind of late to pick me up-workL. So, I wandered around the school knowing that maybe I’m the only human being that is still in school right now. I’m going to sue mom for this. Then someone tap my shoulder. “Hey, Christina Anderson right?”It’s the hot new student! “Yes. Just call me Tina. You’re Michael Ross the newcomer right.” “You can call me Mike. What you’re doing in here this late? You should be in your bedroom now doing Mrs. Farrow’s math homework.” “How do you know that Mrs. Farrow gave me math homework? You’re a 12th grader right?” “Yes I’m a 12th grader, and the most superb stalker in the world. And you haven’t answered my question.” “My mom said that she’ll be here in another half an hour. How about you? Why are you still here?” “Actually, I’m lost. I was searching for the bio lab before I saw you wandering here. I left my things there. Ok, I want to make a deal here. If you agree to show me the way, I’ll drive you home. Is it a deal?” “Ok. I’m on. Wait, I want to call my mom first.”
It’s kind of awkward now- sitting in Mike’s car, listening to music that I’ve never heard before, looking only at the disco ball that somehow I think is cool to be there because then I realize that Mike is a stranger. We just met and now I’m in his car.- So I try to break the awkward silence in Mike’s car. “Hey Mike, do you mind if I ask you a question?” “You just ask me a question.” “OK. Do you mind if I ask you two questions?” “Tina, are you a nanny? You have asked me two questions.” “Okay. Michael Ross, a newcomer from the West High School and a 12th grader, plus the most superb stalker in the world, may I ask you a bunch of questions that I don’t even care the number?” I can hear him giggling softly trying not to be caught laughing at me. “Go on Tina. Just ask whatever you want to know.” “Are you trying on me?” –That question is a reflection of the brave, hot and cool Tina- “No, I’m not. What makes you think that I’m trying on you?” “Everything! We just met and you agreed to sent me home. It’s okay if you don’t want to admit it now but for your information, I’m not an easy one. So, keep on dreaming and good luck.”
When I ended my sentence, we’re at the front of my house. I said thank you and make my way into the house acting as if I have something to catch up but I didn’t storm out- that’s the most important thing, don’t storm out from any situation even if you’re angry, ashamed or anything. Just act normal, be cool. Remember: REPUTATION IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING-
