Chapter 1
*RING RING* RING RING* Ugh! I said as I got up and turned my alarm off

I'm Keyshia , a current physician Assistant in ATL . I'm a single mother making sure me and my shorty eatin good , I got a friend name Jennifer and we been rockin with each other for a minute . I'm Darkskinneed , Short, and cute (of course) . But Anyways Back To The Story

I walked in my son room to wake him up for school. "Ouchh!" I said picking one of his legos I just stepped on. "Baby its time to get up". I said tapping him . "5 more minutes" he said barley woke "No ya gone be late for school"

He got up and stretched. "Ya clothes already in the bathroom, hurry so you can eat". "K" he said walking towards his bathroom. I went to my bathroom , did my daily duties and put on a Love Pink jogging suit & some Nike slides. I went downstairs and put king waffles on. 5 minutes later king came downstairs and ate, then we left.

The ride was silent until I heard "You are now listening to the breakfast club .. Here I got one of my favorites August alsina" The man on the radio said . "Hey mommy he got the same last name as me". I turned the radio up ignoring kings comment. Hearing his voice made me think about the last time I saw him.

**Flashback**
(12pm 4 Years Ago)

"August where you was at lastnight?". He ignored me and walked upstairs. "So you don't hear me talking to you ?" I said following him up the stairs. "Man ion feel like arguing my head hurt" he said taking his shirt off. "What you mean yo head hurting, where you was at lastnight"
"Man u already know what a nigga out here doing to make sure the bills paid & ya lil foreign ass straight it ain't no tellin what time ima make it home"
"First off this my momma house & you already know it ain't nun u can do for me that I can't already do for myself. Secondly .... U must take me for some type of joke cause u ain't tell me u had a all night shift at Mc Donalds & you still not answering my question."
"Who Said I Still Work At Mc Donalds?"
"What ? U Got Fired ?"
" Yea man I ain't been working there in months"
"So how u been getting the bills paid?"
"I been hittin tha corners"
"August so it took all this for u to tell me & I told u I don't want you out there in them streets". A couple of moments later his phone rang
"Hello " he said . I heard a girl voice & I already knew what time it was , so I snatched the phone out his hand & ran in the other room & locked the door . He came running after me like I just robbed him & started banging on the door . " Open tha door!" . "Hello who is this?" I said ignoring him " umm this his girlfriend Asia"
" No this is his girlfriend sweets ion want you calling my man nomo" I said . Right after i hung up aug kicked the door in . " aw so that's ya girlfriend huh?" I said yelling in his face
"Nah man she lying , she just like me" he said yelling back .
Then his phone ranged again " Hello?.............. Ight here I come"
Then he hung up . "boy u not leaving we need to talk about this. And I got something to tell u" . " Tell me when I get back he said grabbing his keys & putting his shirt back on" . " August if you leave this house I won't be here when you get back , I have to tell you something" . He Just ignored me & walked out the door . As soon as I heard the door slam I just broke down crying , I Recently found out im 4 weeks pregnant. Ever since his brother past he been acting so different , I been riding for him since we was 15 & he gone do me like this. I know he still hurt about his brother but I had a hard life too . My momma just died a year ago , im only 18 not to mention i got rapped and beat on by my step dad & my momma never believed me. I've reached my breaking point with life. I packed my stuff , left the house and New Orleans never to return.

*End of flashback*

"Ma slow down!!!" King said snapping me out of my thoughts. We pulled up to the school, I walked him in & i left. I called my friend Jennifer cause I ain't talked to her in 24 hours. "Hello" she said sounding tired. "Hey! Girl wake up i ain't heard yo voice In 24 hours." "Girl I am up i just dropped Aiden off at school"

"Lets go get some breakfest." I Said " Ight lets go to the one on 53rd" (made up lol) . "Ight 10 4" I Said & hung up . 20 minutes later I arrived & saw her getting out this new Range Rover i never seen her in before. " Ok friend I see you with the new wip" I said walking up towards her" "Yass girl I got a raise i been out here balling, shopping on me later" " I See you got yo hair done nails done everything did oh you fancy huh?" We Both laughed & walked in . We was seated almost immediately. "Girl Let Me 402 You" I Said . "Run It To Me Like A 8 Mile Marathon".

"Girl so tell me why aug was on the radio this morning & when the man said August Alsina, king was like mommy he got the same last name as me." After I said that her eyes grew big " GIRL WHAT??" "Yas girl it just made me feel so guilty that my son don't have a father in his life & aug don't even know he got a whole son"
"Kesh don't feel bad , u did what you had to do to make a better life for you & king". "Yea I guess you right"
"Girl what is taking them so long it ain't like its somebody in here forreal. CAN SOMEBODY COME TAKE OUR ORDER?" she said breaking the silents . This girl a fool I couldn't do nun but laugh.
