The air trailing behind Sooyeon becomes colder than ice as she sprints as fast as she dans across roads and streets. The red dot keeps moving at such a rapid pace, until it stops smack dab in the middle of the town.
"Huh? This..." she holds her phone up closer to her face and stares at the dot. It's only 1 mile away, but her body is so deplete that she cannot run anymore.
However, she keeps running and doesn't stop to catch even one whiff of air; Sooyeon is doing this for her sister; for the only one who shares pure flesh and blood as she does.
At last, just a few minutes later, Sooyeon stops at the police station where the location of her sister's phone says it's located.
"Why... the police station?" She gazes at the heavy, clear doors with confusion. Millions of questions swim her brain as she walks up the steps and into the station.
None of the staff on shift are even paying attention to her; they're all either absorbed in their work or talking to people on the phone. A pair of men walk past by her face but don't even bother to look at her; it's like she's staring at a dream.
A female around her late 20's taps Sooyeon on the shoulder. "Miss, is there a problem?"
Hearing those words, Sooyeon automatically spins around and grips the arms of the female, even though it's considered rude to touch a stranger. "My sister's phone. I tracked it down to this place."
"Pardon? I..."
Sooyeon's conversation with the female officer shades as her eyes follow an adult male officer with a grey iPhone in his hand. It's not common to see an Apple product in South Korea, for Samsung is their country's leading technology company and one of the best in the world.
"Ahjussi!" Sooyeon yells and runs over to the officer. All of the eyes of the officers and workers on the room go on Sooyeon as she snatched the phone out of his hand.
She almost bursts out into tears when she sees the wallpaper of the phone; it's a picture of her family, which means it's Soojung's phone, which is not in her hand.
"Miss, it is rude to—"
"This is my sister's phone."
The Ahjussi snags the phone from her hand and looks at the wallpaper. Almost right away, he recognizes the female in the bottom left corner as Sooyeon.
"Where is my sister? Why do you have her phone?!" Sooyeon grabs the officer's color with tremendous force. Her Asian morals come in and she lets go of him out of curtesy.
"Find her right now."
