For two months, battles from both sides have gone on and on for hours each. What makes it so difficult to settle down? Oh, maybe it's the fact that these two countries weren't exactly peaceful in the first place.
Until this moment.
Everyone is sitting in the Court, waiting for the judge to pass his words and create peace or war. Silence can only be heard, and Jongin watches Soojung basically running in her seat.
"Today, on the date of December 3, 2167, I, Judge Kang Choo Seok, declare that..."
Everyone clasps hands with each other and stare straight into the Judge's eyes.
"...there is no one who did wrong in this situation. Both parties will be free from any sort of punishment for this situation!"
Everyone is shocked; a neutral-ending trial case? No one has even heard of that kind of trial.
The Judge suddenly hits the mallet on his wooden block and declares silence. Everyone stops speaking and gets back into their seats.
"Kim Jongin has something to finish things off."
Looking back at his family, he smiles and nods at his dad. His dad knows what Jongin's about to do.
Jongin gets out of his seat and walks to the opposite side of the room where Soojung is sitting with her lawyer.
"Jung Soojung, we've been through so much together, but it made us reunite as one... omo, that's was cheesy." He scratches his head and everyone's laughs, even the North Koreans. "Anyways, Soojung, I really want to ask you something."
Soojung places her hands in front of her face and watch as he gets down onto his knees. Pulling out a small box, he smiles and takes her left hand.
"Will you marry me?" He opens the box.
Everyone tells and starts going "Aww, goals." Their attention then focuses on Soojung, the person who had to answer this life-changing question.
Her ears flush red and she cries into her hands. It all started with their first encounter together until now, those memories just to make her cry. But the only one she can remember so clearly is him risking his life to save her.
That's what a lover is supposed to do.
After Soojung nods her head, Jongin swoops her up into his arms and swings her in a full circle.
This day marks two important dates on their future calendar: the day that neither of them had to be punished and the day they got engaged.
