All Soojung can hear is the sounds of her breathing coming out in and out of her mouth. The stuffiness inside the room is enough to cause her to begin sweating, which makes her look like she's going to go sick.
The jail cell's door opens and Jongin steps in with a proper blanket for Soojung to sleep with.
"Hello." He says and sits next to her, who's laying down on the bed. Soojung looks up at the guy with emptiness.
"What time is it?" She asks, pulling the blanket out of his hands and wrapping it on her own body.
"A little after midnight... I'll bring you something to eat in the morning. I'm not even supposed to be here or even give you this," he whispers softly and points at the blanket, "but it's too cold for you to sleep without a blanket."
"Thank you, um..."
"Jongin. Just call me Jongin."
"Thank you, Jongin." Soojung smiles. She closes her eyes and tries to go to sleep. For a few minutes, Jongin just sits there and watches her fall asleep with so much curiosity; Soojung's basically like an alien to him.
When he figures that it's about time to leave, he steadily removes himself from the mattress. The girl, who can wake up to any movement or sound, grabs his wrist and scares his ass of once again.
"Can you stay here with me until I fall asleep? It's quite dark in this cell and the hallway, and I can't sleep without any human in my 20 foot radius." Her eyes are still closed but her mouth moves so fast and quiet as she speaks.
"O... okay." Jongin whispers and makes sure there's no one in the hallway. He gets down onto his knees as if he's begging for mercy and holds her freezing hand with his.
"Your hands... are so warm."
