I wake up in bright daylight. I push a blanket off me and sit up. I am laid on Tobias’s bed and I am in the clothes I got dressed in this morning. I get up and see my shoes by the bed. Tobias, who’s sat at the table with his back to me, twists round in his chair and smiles.

“What happened?” I ask

“You fell asleep so I just covered you in a blanket and let you sleep.”

“Oh. Thanks.” I say and run my fingers through my short, blonde hair. “I’d better get ready, I must look a mess.”

“You look gorgeous.” He says and I bend down to kiss him.

I don’t look gorgeous, I see, when I look in the mirror in Tobias’s bathroom. I wash my face and brush my hair. Then I go back into the bedroom and see Tobias, stood by the apartment door. He holds it open with one hand and in the other he has my shoes. He passes them to me as I come towards him.

“Let’s go and meet the others. They’ll wonder what’s happened to us!” He says and we set off, hand in hand.
