Chapter 14

Everyone has their problems

I drive into the garage with a huge smile on my face; the look on his face when I drove away was priceless. I get off, set the helmet on the seat and walk into the house, running my fingers through my hair. Honey and Ky are sitting at the kitchen table chatting, I give them a cheeky smile and grab a bottle of water from the sub zero refrigerator.

“What did you do?” Honey says turning to face me as I lean against the island facing them.

“Oh nothing just had a friendly talk with Tara and Chogan. I reminded Chogan about the “doctor’s appointment” he missed today and reassured him that there was no shame in getting tested for certain diseases.”

Ky laughs loudly holding his stomach, while Honey just smiles at me sadly. I know that look and I look away from her face refusing to feel guilty for what I did.

I hear screeching tires and the slamming of a door. I smirk, waiting for the explosion, Ky and Honey move as far away from me as possible not wanting to get caught in the cross fire. Chogan throws the door open and it slams against the wall, the handle leaves a hole.

He looks around, spots me, and in a flash is in front of me.

“Who the hell do you think you are?!” He screams in my face, his face red and his eyes flashing dangerously.

I stare at him and lift my bottle of water to my lips. He slaps the bottle of water out of my hand; it spirals in the air before hitting the wall and exploding.

I just stare at him, the amusement slowing fading, replaced with anger.

“What is your problem?! Now everyone is going to think I have a STD! This could ruin my rep!” He screams his fists clenched at his sides.

“That is your fucking problem! You don’t care about anyone or anything but yourself and your stupid rep! Your lessons are important! You need them; you made a commitment to be here so I expect you to be here. I don’t get a damn what you do in your free time but when you are suppose to be at a lesson, your ass better be here!” I scream my eyes glowing bright with anger.

“I’m the one who is selfish, look at you, you’re willing to give out all of this perfect advice and you don’t even use it when it comes to yourself. What about the pain you feel in your dreams?! Huh the ones that wakes you up every night! Who are you to tell me to forget the pain I feel in my dreams when all you do is cry over yours!” He is breathing hard and sweat runs down his face.

I feel myself shake and tension builds in my head, pounding against my temples. I feel everything I’ve been holding back within me rise up and roar, all of my pain, sadness, and anger. I clinch my fists trying to hold back, knowing that someone could get hurt.

“Aura you need to go and let it out now, before you hurt yourself or anyone else.” Honey stays pushing Chogan aside and shoving me toward the door.

I bolt and make it to the front yard before the pain gets overwhelming. I let out an agonizing, ear piercing scream as pain ripples through my body and drop to my knees. My head pounds as tears stream down my face and my body rises in the air, arms spread eagle. Time stops and a translucent magic veil surrounds my body. I see Chogan, Ky, and Honey standing outside of the veil watching me. The pain is excruciating and I keep screaming wishing it would end. My wish comes true because all of a sudden there is darkness.
