The end

*Aura POV*

I feel like so peaceful; it’s so warm and quite. Opening my eyes, I blink as gold light invades my eyes. White mist rolls over beautiful green hills, the sun is high in the sky yet the meadow is cool and breezy.

“Hello Selena.” I gasp as Marshal steps out of the mist and in front of me.

I throw my arms around him and hug him tightly. Laughing, he wraps arms around me and kisses my forehead.

“I’m so proud of you.” He squeezes me a little tighter.

I pull away and hold his hands, “Can we take a walk?”

He nods and we walk hand and hand.

“So where are we exactly?” I ask breaking the silence.

“We are in limbo.”

“But why? I have no unfinished business, do I?”

He shakes his head, “No but you have a choice to make.”

I tilt my head to the side, “A choice?”

He nods, “Either you can go back or I can take you back with me to heaven. But understand this, if you choose to go back, you will go back as a mortal, not a chosen angel.”

“I want to go back to him.” I look up at him.

“I love you Marshal, I always have and I always will but my love for you is love for a friend and nothing more. I am sorry.”

He touches my cheek, “I feel the same way, I don’t regret our time together but I am happy you have found your true soul mate and I have found mine in heaven.”

I smile up at him and kiss his cheek, “I wish you both eternal happiness. I am now ready to go back.”

He nods and takes my hands, “Until next time, Selena.”

I start to shimmer and take one last look at limbo before disappearing.

*Chogan’s POV*

It’s been a month since the fight with the Shadow King and I’ve been miserable. I’ve been trying to act strong for everyone else because everyone is taking Aura’s death hard. I think the worst part is that we didn’t get to bury her because her body just disappeared.

Sometimes, it’s painful seeing Ky and Honey together because they are such a cute couple that it makes me miss Aura more.

Lying down on my back next to the lake, I stare up at the sky, wondering what Aura is doing.

I hear footsteps coming toward me and assume it’s my dad or Ky. Ignoring them, I continue to stare up at the sky.

Aura chuckles, “Aren’t you going to greet me, love?”

I jerk up and turn to see Aura standing behind me in a long white gown, hands on her hips.

“Is that really you?” I stand and walk slowly toward her.

She smirks, “The one and only.”

Rushing toward her, I wrap my arms around her and swing her around, laughing.

“I’ve missed you so much; I don’t understand how your back but I couldn’t be happier.”

She smiles at me, “I’ve missed you, I got a choice. I could either come back as a mortal or go to heaven. I decided I wanted to come back to you.”

She kisses me deeply and wraps her arms around my neck, “I love you so much.” She whispers against my lips.

“I love you too; Aura and I’d be honored if you would consider marrying me.” I say the last part nervously.

She pulls back and looks into my eyes, “Truly?”

I smile, “Truly.”

She nods, smiling widely, “Yes, Yes, yes!”

I kiss her and take her hand, “Lets head home, our family is waiting.”

Hand and hand we walk home and toward our new life.
