Chapter 3: Meeting the Principal

Dear Diary,

It has been three weeks since we moved to Cali. I got to explore the place and I can simply say the view is great. They have so many cool stores but none of them beat the surf shop. I got two new boards which I got the privilege to test them out on this private beach Dalia brought me to. The waves were like nothing I have ever seen before. They were unnaturally huge and I loved it.

My parents went back to work. They were offered lead roles in a thriller called Black Out. I have seen a couple scenes while I was on set and it is pretty cool. I seriously can't wait to see it when it is done.

Well summer is over and it is time for me to go back to school. I hope I make actual friends and not person who just want to hang with me because of my parents.

On the brightside Dalia got my parents to agree on enrolling me at her past school Lycan High. She says it is great and everything is state of the art and up to speed. Personally I don't know the school but Dalia decisions always turn out great.

Anyway I got to go. Today Dalia and I are meeting the principal today so wish me good luck.

"Dalia what am I going to wear?" I say frustration lacing my voice. For the past 30 minutes I have been going through my closet to find something appropriate to wear to meet the principal. "I don't want to make a bad impression." I told her as I went to look through my closet again.

"Calm down no need to be worried," she says in a reassuring voice that makes me wonder how is she so calm when I am dying of frustration. Maybe am just overreacting. I mean I am a great student, aren't I.

"No matter what you wear, nothing will change the fact that you are a great person and student. Your clothes don't define you." Dalia continues breaking the silence and bringing me out of my thoughts.

"Ok," I shrugged, you could hear defeat in my voice. "But still help a girl in need." I asked desperately pouting my lips.

"Hmmm..." Dalia is sitting on the couch in the closet in her thinking position (her index finger tapping her chin). "I got it," she exclaimed after a moment of thinking. She got up from the couch and made her way to the other side of the closet.

"How about a navy blue fit and flare skirt, pink floral tank top with the navy blue cardigan and pink wedges," she says as she carries the outfit back to me.

"You're a life saver," I say as my frustration made a U-turn back to happy. I take the outfit from her hand and stalked over to the changing room. 5 minutes later I came back out wearing the outfit.

"How do I look?" I asked Dalia as I smooth out the skirt.

"If I was the principal you would make a good impression without a doubt. You look cute now let's get your hair and make-up done" she says as she pulled me over to the hair and make-up desk.

I took a final look at myself in the mirror and I was pleased. My make-up look natural and pink lip gloss to bring out my naturally pink lips a little more. My hair was straightened and caught up in a high pony tail.

"You are the bomb Dalia. I don't know what I would do without you," I told Dalia as I turned to face her. Dalia is like my big sister and best friend. When I was 13 I met Dalia at the park she is older than me but we clicked. It was like I knew her my whole life and we were reuniting.
