I woke up to the sound of banging on the door. "Wake up Nancy." My annoying twin brother Lucas shouted from the other side of the door.

"Five more minutes please!" I yawned.

"Come on baby sis we're going to be late for school."

"You're only seven minutes older than me!"

"This is not the time to discuss such things" Lucas laughed. "I'm leaving in ten minutes, get ready by then or else you'll have to walk."

I sighed then rolled out of bed, landing on the ground. Well my beauty sleep just turned into a sore painful butt.

I ran to the bathroom, I brushed my teeth and quickly showered. I slid on some black skinnies and a oversized grey sweater, I put on some mascara and tinted lip balm by which time I heard Lucas shouting from downstairs. I grabbed my black converse and ran down.

"It's about time." Lucas rolled his eyes.

"Chill out sister."

"Hey watch your mouth there girl."

"Hurry up then, we're late."

Lucas and I rushed to his car. He drove as per usual and I jumped into the passengers seat. I put on the radio and we drove to school whilst listening to music on blast.

"We're eleven minutes late." I mumbled as we entered the school building.

"Your fault baby sis."

We made our way to homeroom to see a annoyed teacher, Mr Smith is a grumpy small guy with round glasses and always has strong coffee breath.

"You're late again!" Mr Smith rolled his eyes as Lucas and I entered the classroom

"Yo chill out moody pants." Lucas said loud enough for the whole class to laugh their butts off.

"Sorry sir." I said then hurried to my seat next to my two best friends.

My two best friends, Sarah and Hannah were chatting away when I went and sat opposite them.

"Hey Nancy!" They both shouted at the same time.

"Hello to you too girlies." I responded with enthusiasm.

"Quiet down now children" Mr Smith spoke. "I have something to tell you all."

"Yessss. You're finally leaving!" Lucas yelled from the other side of the room.

Ergh, it had to be my stupid brother obviously.

"Lucas, get out." Mr Smith said in a bored tone.

"But sir..." Lucas mumbled.

"I said get out."

Lucas stormed out of the room and Mr Smith began to speak again "before I was rudely interrupted, I was going to inform you all that from tomorrow there will be a new student joining us."

Everyone began whispering which then turned in to loud chatting.

"Who do you think the new kid is?" Hannah screeched close to my face.

"I don't know and I couldn't care less." I responded.

"Come on Nancy bear, what if its a cute guy?" Sarah spoke from the other side of me.
