Highly sensitive people are too often perceived as weaklings or damaged goods. To feel intensely is not a symptom of weakness, it is the trademark of the truly alive and compassionate. It is not the empath who is broken, it is society that has become dysfunctional and emotionally disabled. There is no shame in expressing your authentic feelings. Those who are at times described as being a 'hot mess' or having 'too many issues' are the very fabric of what keeps the dream alive for a more caring, humane world. Never be ashamed to let your tears shine a light in this world.

The next couple of days passed by, the girls were doing well, Hannah had gone home to finally face her sister; obviously after a lot of persuasion from Sarah and myself.

I, on the other hand was feeling strangely down, you know when you're not necessarily sad but you just feel empty on the inside, everything you do or see just makes you feel upset, you feel as if you're not good enough. Yet you try to act as if everything is okay, the act of looking fine is the only thing that keeps you going but deep inside you feel like you're dying.

The thoughts of my mother keep wondering around in my mind, I feel as if on that night my father hurt me, I shouldn't have made a massive deal out of it and my mother may have still been alive. I know it sounds ridiculous but I wish I could just disappear and come back once everything is better. I hate to see Lucas struggling financially because he has to take care of me, if only a miracle could occur and life could be worth living again. The only reason I've been going strong for the last few years is Lucas but I no longer feel strong, I feel emotionally unstable but I shall keep going, for Lucas.

"It's Saturday and you're still asleep, get up and do something productive." Lucas spoke from the other end of my phone.

"You're not even at home, I've got nothing to do and life's boring." I moaned.

"Go out with your friends or something."

"Hannah's trying to sort stuff out with her sister and Sarah's going to her little cousins birthday party today."

"What about some of the other girls you talk to at school?"

"I'm not in the mood to socialise with people."

"Hm fine, stay at home and watch tv shows all day, lazy butt."

"You know me well sister."

"Hey don't call me sister! Any way my break is almost over, so bye bye."

"See you later bye." I said then hung up.

I rolled out of bed then made my way to the bathroom and took a long relaxing shower. After a few too many tears and accidentally spilling shower gel all over the place then cursing myself, I went back to my room and got dressed into some sweat pants and a tank top. I then brushed through my long wet hair.

I grabbed my phone then ran down to the kitchen to make myself some proper food but ended up making microwavable popcorn, I then went and slouched on to the couch and turned on the tv and began watching Teen wolf.

After many hours of watching Teen wolf, my phone rang. It was an unknown number but I answered anyway.

"Hello, is this Nancy?" A female voice spoke.

"Hi, yes it is."

"Oh urm yeah well it's Haley, Nathan's mom, I got your number off of Nathan's phone a few days ago."

"Oh erm sorry I didn't recognise your voice."

"It's okay hun, I wanted to ask whether you could do a big favour for me."

"Urm yeah what?"

"Well I've got an important meeting to get to and I have nobody to take care of Jack and Jasmine, I don't know where Nathan is and he won't answer his phone, so could you please come over for a couple of hours?" Haley asked in a sincere tone.

"Oh yeah I'd love to take care of Jasmine.. And Jack, so when should I come?"

"Now if possible."

"Okay see you in two minutes."

After hanging up, I quickly ran upstairs and put on some jeans and a sweater over my tank top, then I threw on a coat and some combat boots. A few moments later I was out and in front of Nathan's house. Before I could even knock, the door flew open revealing Haley, she was dressed in formal work attire and had a soothing smile on. I've got to admit she truly is a beautiful women and Nathan's lucky to have her.

"Hey thanks for coming Nancy, I've been trying to contact Nathan for ages but he won't answer, so if he does turn up which he probably won't, but if he does just tell him I'll be back after eight."

"I erm, okay."

"Well I should get going now, bye.." Haley wrapped me into a tight hug then began walking into the garden but turned around and spoke again, "oh yeah and could you put Jasmine to bed after seven?"

I nodded and waved then walked into the house, I locked the front door then went to the living room where Jasmine was sat on Jack whilst he was laying on the ground. What I could see at that moment, was definitely the cutest thing ever; it reminded me of Lucas and I, even though we're the same age, he was always the tall and strong one whereas I have always been the small weakling.

I was still watching the two children in awe until Jasmine turned around and grinned at me. "Nanshyyyy!" She yelled then ran into my legs and gave me a tight hug.

"Hello princess." I smiled as I hugged her back.

"Hey Jack." I said as I noticed he was staring at me in a strange way, it made me realise how much he looked like Nathan especially when he looked at me like that.

"Hi." Jack murmured then walked out of the room.

"Ignowre him, he's silly." Jasmine said, making me laugh.

"He's not silly, he's just shy." I said as I picked up Jasmine then gave her a small peck on her cheek.

"Let's play somefing."

"Hmm okay." I smiled.

For the next two hours, I played many games with Jasmine and we also watched cartoons for a while, until I put her to bed. After Jasmine fell asleep, I went back down to the living room and sat on the couch whilst I continued reading a book that I had started the day before, on my phone.

A few chapters later, I heard the front door open; thinking Haley was back early, I walked to the hallway to a sight I'd never have wanted to witness.

Nathan's mouth all over a girls mouth, the girl was leaning against the wall and her hands were pulling on his shirt whilst his hands were touching her backside. The girl let out a moan whilst they were still mouth to mouth.

Disgusted, I began moving back but crashed into the door with a thud causing the two to release each others mouths. They both looked up at me in a strange way.

"Who the fuck is she?" The girl flipped her bleached blonde hair back and looked at me in disgust.

"Calm down Blaire, she's my neighbour." Nathan looked at the girl then glared at me. "What the hell are you doing here?"

"Babysitting your siblings whilst you were out, doing something nobody would like to know with that girl." I narrowed my eyes at both of them. "Oh and Jasmines asleep, Jacks doing homework in his room and I should get going, have fun babysitting with her." I glared at the two then made my way past them and out of the door.
