The saddest aspect of life right now is that science gathers knowledge faster than society gathers wisdom.

After that awkward encounter with Nathan, I went back home and sat on my bed whilst staring at the ceiling as I thought about life and my odd feelings towards him, for over an hour until my phone rang.
"Hello Mason." I spoke into the phone.
"Hey, what you up to?"
"Erm nothing really, was just sat down thinking about life." I laughed.
"Sounds interesting... Well I was going to go to a party soon, I thought maybe you'd like to come too."
"Oh urm, I don't know, I."
"Please just for a bit, I don't want to go alone."
"Okay but I have to ask Lucas first, I'll text you in a few."
"Oh-kay." Mason said then hung up.
A few moments later, I called Lucas. Even though I couldn't be bothered to go out and having to socialise with people, I thought I should go to get my mind off of things and just relax for a while.
"Yes hello baby sis." Lucas said as he answered the call.
"Hello, can I go out to a party?"
"Hmm who with?"
"Mason."
"Erm okay only for a bit, stay away from any strange looking people and don't leave Mason's side. Also, no alcoholic drinks for you tonight."
"Okay thanks sister."
Lucas laughed then spoke "anyway have fun, but not too much bye."
"Bye bye."
After The call ended, I texted Mason to inform him that I'd go with him, I then got off of my bed and got dressed into some better clothing, I put on a long sleeved, lace black midi dress with some black pumps and chucked on a long necklace. I then brushed through my waist length hair and put on some makeup, by which time the doorbell rang.
I grabbed my phone and a few other bits and threw them into a small side bag then ran down the stairs and opened the door.
"Hey you look beautiful." Mason smiled as he looked at me.
"Thanks, not so bad yourself." I smiled back as I looked at his outfit choice. He was wearing casual clothes which consisted of black jeans, a white t-shirt and a black leather jacket
Mason chuckled "so shall we go now?"
"We shall." I replied then got out of the house and locked the door.
We drove for the next twenty minutes, during the car ride we spoke about some random things but most of the time, I couldn't be bothered with speaking; it was mostly Mason talking and I was nodding along.
Soon after, we arrived in front of a large house, the loud music could be heard inside the car, the noises already had began increasing my anxiety. But Mason and I got out of the car anyway.
The two of us walked up the driveway and towards the front door, there were many people sat in the garden doing various things, including dancing, making out and even throwing up. Definitely a high school party for you.
The front door was already open, the two of us walked in to see many people scattered around dancing and talking. The music was very loud and the vibrations from the intense music could be felt as soon as we entered.
