Sometimes the girl who's always been there for everyone else needs someone to be there for her.

I walked around the park near my house for the next couple of hours, my phone was going crazy with texts and phone calls. Some were from Hannah and Sarah but mostly from Lucas.

'I'm fine, just leave me alone for a bit pls.' I texted Lucas.

'You can't just run away from your problems, again.' Lucas texted back, literally the same second.

'You are my problem, can't you just leave me alone??' I texted back, realising that I had just unintentionally been rude to him.

He saw the text but didn't reply so I just walked around the park whilst I shed a few too many tears. I looked at my phone and saw the time, school must've ended an hour ago but I wanted to be alone for a bit.

As I went to sit next to the tree, I noticed someone banging their hand on the tree. It was Nathan. Ergh why?

"Fuck you and your cheating ass." Nathan repeated to himself as he slammed his knuckles into the tree.

As I noticed his hand looked badly swollen and was covered in blood, I let out an accidental high pitched sound. Nathan looked at me then raised his eyebrows and hurried towards me.

"Oh my god Precious, I'm really sorry for earlier, I kinda let my anger out on you. Please forgive me." Nathan said with a hurtful look on his face. "I shouldn't have been so fucking rude."

I just stared at him and looked into his eyes, I saw the honesty on his face but I didn't know what to say.

"I really am sorry, I didn't mean anything that I said. I was just angry about something else but let out my stupidity on you."

"I understand everyone goes through problems but you could have just talked to me about it."

"Yeah I'm sorry, but nobody understands what I'm going through."

"I could definitely try to understand, just tell me about it. Only if you trust me though."

He grabbed my arm, even though his hand was bloody, I didn't say anything. We walked to the back of the park and sat on the ground with our backs to the wall.

"Well I haven't really told anyone before but I want to tell you, I trust you." Nathan said quietly in a serious tone.

"Okay." I nodded as I looked straight at his eyes.

"Well you know how I told you that Jack doesn't talk to new people nor does he trust anyone." Nathan sighed then carried on talking. "It's because of my so called dad. He cheated on my mom, that's why they got divorced and that's why we moved. Jack was always closer to my dad than he was with my mom and I."

"Oh.. that's really sad."

"After my parents got divorced it was all about custody, at first it was decided that Jasmine and I were to go with our mom whereas Jack was to go with our dad, you know because he loved dad more than anyone. In fact, he even blamed my mom for the divorce." Nathan sounded extremely upset which then turned into anger. "It was all sorted but at last minute that bastard changed his mind and said Jack isn't going to live with him, that's what broke Jack the most."

"Oh urm, I don't know what to say, that's really sad. I'm.."

"He called us this morning." Nathan interrupted "he told us about how amazing his life is now without my mom and the worst part is that he wants Jack and Jasmine, he said he'll fight for custody even though it's been many months since he left us."
