Chapter 9: Alondria

"Alondria, Padme, Jar Jar, let's go, we've got to get these parts back to the ship." Qui-gon ordered as the last of the parts were loaded onto some Eiopes.

"What about me?" I heard a small voice behind me. I turned to see Briste with a look of extreme concern and disappointment on her face. "Am I coming with you.?"

I turned to Qui-gon. "Master please, let me take her back to be tested." I pleaded

He sighed and looked from Briste to me. "Alright, but have her stay with Anakin and Shmi for now, we can come back." He answered

I nodded and turned back to the small girl. "Briste, stay with Shmi and Anakin for now. But I will come get you in a little bit." I told her kneeling down

She looked at me with hardened face for a little before saying, "you will come back though. Right? Promise me you'll come back." She said sternly

I hesitated to make a promise I wasn't sure I could keep. I looked at her for a moment the whispered, "I promise I will do everything I can to come back to you."

She looked at me for a second then nodded. I smiled at her then kissed the top of her head before standing up and joining Qui-gon, Jar Jar, and Padmé.

We were nearing the ship when I heard Padmé whisper, "you care about her don't you?"

I looked at her then glanced at Qui-gon to make sure he wasn't listening. "I do."

"I didn't think Jedi could have attachments."

"We're not." I answered then rode ahead.

"Start getting this hyperdrive generator installed. We're going back...some unfinished business. We won't be long." Qui-gon told Obi-wan as I climbed onto an Eiope.

"Why do I sense we've picked up another pathetic life form...?" Obi-wan asked sarcastically

"Well your close, try two." I replied

"It's the boy who's responsible for getting those parts." Qui-gon explained

"And the other?" Obi-wan inquired further.

"Remember the blood sample that I sent you,"

He looked at us. "Alright..well hurry up we need to get out of here and to Coruscant." He said

"Mom, he sold the Pod. Look at all the money we have!" Anakin shouted excitedly as he pulled a bag of coins out of his pocket.

All of a sudden Briste entered the room and her eyes lit up when she saw me. She ran and jumped into me.

"You came back!" She said happily

"Of course I did, I promised!" I answered with a smile.

She grinned at me.

"Oh, my goodness, That's wonderful." Shmi exclaimed

"And Anakin has been freed." Qui-gon said.
