Chapter Eleven

*Kyler*

"Travis, I already beat you," I said from the ground as I turned onto my back
"Whatever," he pouted and Dante extended his hand to help me up
"Thanks," I said before I grabbed his hand.

He flung me up. Being as light as I was he pulled me up and I flew towards  him.

I extended my other arm so I wouldn't crash into him. He laughed as we collided.

My hand was on his chest. I looked up at him. He smiled down at me.

Travis cleared his throat and I quickly pulled away from Dante.

"So- uh- are we done training here?" He smirked at us
"Y-yea. I'll just show her our 'in case of attack' plans," Dante said scratching the back of his neck
"Mmhm, use protection kids," he smirked before turning around
"Oh my Irene Travis!" I laughed before I formed a ball of fire in my hand and threw it at his butt
"OW! What was that for?" He asked spinning around
"You know what that was for!" I yelled before he walked off.

I turned to Dante and his face was majorly red. I giggled at his awkward smile.

"Shall we go look at plans," i asked
"Heh, yea lets go," he said leading the way towards the guards tower.

"What about there, there won't be anyone guarding there?" I said pointing to a spot where no guards were marked
"Good point, we'll put you there," he smiled at me as he marked a red 'x' on the spot and wrote my name under it
"Okay, so what about attacks from the water?" I asked him and he pulled out another paper
"That's these plans," he said showing me
"Got it," I said gazing over the map
"Alright, we're done now. You are an official Phoenix drop guard!" He said standing up straight
"Thank you!" I said happily before I hugged him tightly.

He didn't react at first but quickly wrapped his arms around me. While hugging me he lifted me up because I was so short compared to him.

"How about we go celebrate?" He asked after I pulled away from the hug
"How will we celebrate?" I asked him
"Lets go swimming?" He asked
"Okay, I'll meet you at the beach," I said before I left.

I looked at the bathing suit Cadenza made for me. It was black, white, and light green. [picture above]

I walked out of my house and down to the beach. I laid my towel down on the sand.

I was suddenly picked up from behind. I turned my head to see Dante's blue hair and bright red swim trunks. He ran into the cold water.

"Dante!" I screamed
"What?!" He smirked still carrying me in the water
"I hate you," I playfully glared
"Why?" He asked
"Because your annoying," I laughed
"I see how it is," he said lifting me up before dropping me in the water
"Your a jerk," I said as I surfaced
"I know," he smiled
"Tag," I said quickly before I swam to shore and ran across the sand.

I turned around and he was almost at the shore. I yelped before I kept running.

"You can't hide!" Dante yelled from the beach as I hid behind a tree
"Where are you?" He asked trying to find me
"AHHH!" I yelled as I ran down back to the sand and he sprinted after me
"Gotcha!" He laughed as he caught me.

He lifted me up and I kicked my legs. He chuckled and started walking back into the water.
"Dante! I'm going to kill you!" I said and he just laughed
"You wouldn't do that princess," he winked
"Ugh!" I groaned giving up as he dropped me in the water.

I surfaced and flipped him off. He chuckled. I rolled my eyes and swam back to the beach. I laid down on my towel and stared at the sky.

"Your not actually mad right?" He asked laying down next to me
"Haha, no," I shook my head and smiled
"Alright good," he sighed
"Haha you and Travis got beat by a girl," I smirked thinking of earlier
"Yea a freaking strong girl," he chuckled
"True that," I smirked turning to him
"I'll beat you next time," he winked
"Mhm sure," I said sarcastically
"I will win princess," he said
"Nope," I chirped
"Wanna go?" He laughed
"Yea," I said as I quickly punched his gut
"Oh your on!" He said as he quickly rolled over and pinned me down.

I smirked as I kicked him off of me and ran to the other side of the beach. He started running for me.

He pounced at me but I ducked and he flew into the sand. I laughed before I ran over and jumped on his back.

I put him in a head lock. He then fell making me land on the ground. He turned over and pinned me down again.

His hands were by the sides of my head in the sand. His knees were in the sand on the sides of my waist. He was in a push up position hovering over me.

"I told you I'd win princess," he smirked
"Whatever," I panted.

It was silent for a few moments. It was a good silence though.

We stared into each other's eyes for a while. Suddenly his eyes moved from my eyes to my lips.

Mine did the same. He then slowly leaned down before our lips touched.

It was great. My stomach doing flips. We moved our mouths in sync.

Suddenly someone cleared their throat. Dante shot up. I quickly stood up.

"H-hey Garroth, your back," I waved as I felt heat rush to my cheeks
"Aphmau wants to see you both," he said before walking away
"Well that was awkward," I said
"Y-yea," Dante said nervously scratching the back of his neck.
