Chapter Eight

*Kyler*

I woke up on the hard ground. Did I really sleep on this last night?

Before opening my eyes I could feel something wrapped around me.

I slowly opened my eyes and glanced down at my waist.

Two arms were wrapped around me. I smiled before I turned my head.

I was face to face with a grey helmet. I could hear Garroth's steady breathing.

I slowly moved his arms off of me before standing up. I brushed the dirt from my clothes.

I blew the small flame that was still burning in the fire out. Garroth started stirring.

"Good morning," I chirped
"Morning," he said in a raspy voice
"Ready to head back?" I asked
"I just woke up though. It takes so much work," he said
"Come on! Everyone's probably worried sick about us!" I said
"Ugh fine," he said as he stood up and dusted the dirt off his clothes
"Are you gonna know how to get back now?" I asked him
"Yes," he said
"Alright good," I said as we started walking.

We walked nearer to the village. I could see Laurence standing guard.

"Where have you two been?!" He asked running up to me and hugging me
"We went for a walk and Garroth over here got lost," I said pulling away and rolling my eyes
"Hey! It wasn't my fault!" He said
"Whatever," I replied
"Why are you wearing his armor?" Laurence asked raising an eyebrow, he looked almost mad
"I got cold last night so he let me wear it," I told him as I slipped it off and handed it to Garroth
"I see, well Aphmau wanted to see you both at her house," he told us
"Okay," I told him before I started walking.

We made it to the top of the hill and knocked on the door.

"Hi Kyler, Garroth," Zoey smiled
"Hi Zoey," I replied
"So Aphmau was wondering if the two of you could babysit Levin and Malachi? We have some business to attend to," she said and I looked at Garroth
"I mean- yea! Sure!" I nodded and she let us in
"Oh thank you! I should be by later," she said before she left
"That was sudden," I said
"Yea, weird." He agreed as we walked down the stairs
"Ky-er!" Levin said trying to pronounce my name as I picked him up
"Hey cutie!" I smiled before he tugged on my scarf
"I think he wants to see your face," Garroth smiled as he took off his helmet
"Well I guess, but only because you took off your helm," I said as I untied it with one hand
"Ky-er pretty!" Levin laughed
"Why thank you Levin," I smiled
"He's right," Malachi agreed
"Aw thank you boys," I said smiling
"Ky-er gorgeous," Garroth winked and I laughed
"Thanks Garroth. Now how about we play hide and seek?" I said and levin clapped his hands and nodded.

"Kyler!" Aphmau called from upstairs
"We're down here!" I said as I helped Levin color on a piece of paper
"Hey! Thanks for watching the boys you two," she said to us
"No problem," we both said
"Hey Kyler can you come here?" She asked me and I stood up and followed her.

We walked up the stairs and into the kitchen. She smirked at me.

"Can you try this on upstairs please?" She asked handing me a dress
"I don't wear dresses," I said
"C'mon please!" She begged me
"Fine but I'm not taking off my scarf." I told her and she nodded as I climbed up the stairs and entered her bathroom.

I slid the dress on after taking my normal clothes off. I looked in her mirror.

It was a simple black and white dress. It was tight until my lower waist when it flared out.

The top was black with laced arms and the flared part was white.

I then wrapped my scarf back around my face. It seemed to fit perfectly with the dress.

"Alright I tried it on, now what?" I asked her walking back down
"Put these on!" She said handing me a pair of black flats. I slid them on.
"Why are you dressing me up?" I asked her
"You'll see," she smirked
"Aphmau... What are you up to?" I asked suspiciously
"No time to talk! Come upstairs!" She smiled as she grabbed my hand and dragged me back to her bathroom.

She pushed me into a stool and started brushing through my hair. She then started doing a side braid.

She smiled at me in the mirror when she finished.

"May I know what's going on now?" I asked
"Yes... Come with me," she said leaving and I followed.

We left the house. It was sunset and the sky was beautiful. We ran down the hill and across the paths.

I made it to the main plaza and my jaw dropped. Music was playing, fairy lights were hung, a dance floor was in the middle, tables and chairs were set up, food was set up, and everyone was there.

"Do you like it? It's for you," She asked
"Like it? I LOVE IT!" I said hugging her and almost crying
"Go, have fun," she smiled and I nodded before walking over to everyone.

A/N: alright I'm sorry but this is gonna sound really rude, please no hate, I understand that Aphmau's character in MCD is sad about Aaron's death but she has Garroth back. She should be grateful for what Aaron did. He gave her the person she wished so badly to see. Plus Aaron is with his family now, his true love and his child. He got revenge on Zane and let Aph get her friend (Cough cough true love cough cough) back... Idk I just don't think she should've been crying for a week. Like yes maybe a couple of days but she still has a village to run... Okay I'm done now! 😂❤️ I LOVE APHMAU BTW DONT HATE MEH
