Sam and i hear his parents arguing quietly in the hallway. Sam sighs loudly when he hears his dad hollering at his mom, and he slams his metal tray down on the table beside him, it makes a loud clanging sound.
"Does this happen alot?" i ask Sam slowly, wondering if this is the right question to ask.
"Whenever my dad is around, yes," he gazes at the tv screen.
"Im sorry, Sami," i tell him.
He tears his gaze from the tv and looks at me, "Dont be."
He leans into me, pressing his lips to mine and moves his tongue around inside my mouth.
"What in the hell!" a booming voice echoes throughout the room. I pull away from Sam, and see his dad staring at us, bewildered, evident anger written on his face.
Im sure he can sense my fear because he us scowling deeply at me.
"What the fuck are you doing kissing my son!" he growls at me.
"I- im-" im definately at a loss for words. My best option right now is probably to leave. I stand up.
"Dad!" Sam hollers.
"I fly here all the fucking way from New York to see my son in the hospital, and here i am, finding him sucking faces with some random bitch off the street!"
"James Tucker!" Sams mother shrieks, she is clearly mortified.
I gasp at his choice of words. I see Sams jaw clench and his fists ball up.
"I- i think i should probably go," i manage to squeak out.
"Lexi," Sams voice is pleading. I storm out of the room anyway, the last i hear is Sam calling for me to come back.
Im full on crying by the time im in the elevator. It stops on the third floor and picks up a boy that looks about my age. He steps inside and glances at me cautiously.
"Are you okay?" he asks me.
"Yes, im fine," i say sternly. He doesnt ask me any further questions though.
We i run outside, i am greeted with pouring rain. Im soaked within seconds. I run to my car in the parking lot and slam the door shut after i climb inside. I bury my face in my hands and start bawling. I am able to leave after ten minutes.
I drive home and run upstairs to my room, and dive onto my bed and hide underneath the covers. I dont want my mom or dad seeing me like this. I especially didnt want my brother to see me like this. Hell, knowing him he'd just assume that it was Sam who made me like this, and then he would beat the shit out of him the first chance he got.
My phone starts buzzing just as i was starting to drift off to sleep.Sami: hey Lex. Im srry 4 wat my dad sed abt u

In the morning i lay in bed almost all day, reading The Longest Ride. This is my third time reading it, but it is so good.
'Luke peered down the steeply sloping embankment, then quickly swiveled his head toward her. Even from a distance, she could sense the urgency in his expression and body language. Quickly, she hopped out of the truck.
"Grab my phone and call 911!" he shouted. "A car went off the road here, and i think someones still in it!"
And with that, he climbed through the broken section of the gaurdrail, vanishing from sight.'
