It is our last day at this campground. We are headed back home first thing in the morning. We will still have the weekend left before we have to go back to school though, so thats a plus. Two more days i get to spend completely with Sami.

After he told me about his dad last night, we went back to the camper and climbed up onto my bed.

I had held him in my arms, playing with his hair, while he busied himself with the drawstrings on my shorts. He didnt say much after that. I mostly just blabbed away about how much i care for him, and that he will never be alone when he needs someone to talk to, that i will always be here for him, ill never leave his side.

He was curled up between my legs, his head on my chest, and his arms wrapped tightly around my waist. And thats how we fell asleep. We woke in the same position, but Sam was still sleeping peacefully when i awoke so i decided to stay just like that until he woke up, which wasnt for another twenty minutes.

My mom decided that it would be a nice day to head on over to the beach today. So thats where we all were.

My mom and dad and uncle had all brought beach chairs. They had set them up on the sand, along with their cooler of drinks and thats where they were right now, just talking and relaxing.

My brother and Tj were, it looks like, having a dunking fight in the lake. What fun is that? Molly and Jess are busy building a sand castle near the water, but not close enough so as to where the waves can reach it and destroy it.

Sam and i are laying on beach towels in the sand, behind the adults. Sam wasnt really up to doing anything today but my mom had insisted that we all come to the beach.

Im laying down, trying to get a tan, and Sam is on his stomach beside me, his head resting on his arms. We are both wearing our matching salmon colored swim suits with little black anchors printed on them, and he has his Royals baseball cap on backwards along with a pair of black RayBans sunglasses.

My mom had made all of us kids put on sunscreen before we left the camper so atleast i dont have to worry about him getting burnt.

Im pretty sure that Sam is asleep because he hasnt said a single word to me for the past ten minutes, he hasnt hardly even moved.

Hes been sleeping a lot lately, i think he might be getting sick again because he woke up with a slight fever this morning. Or maybe he just never got over being sick before we left for spring break, thats probably it, and now its coming back full force on him. Poor thing.

I glance down and smile at his still figure beside me. I reach my hand out toward him and brush my fingers across his soft cheek. He stirs and mumbles something incoherent before falling back into a deep sleep.

My mom turns around in her chair in front of us and mouths to me 'Is he asleep?'.

I nod my head and she responds by giving me a 'poor kid' kind of face before turning back around in her chair to face the lake.

Sam wakes up later and immediantly begins to complain about having a headache so my mom lets me take him back to the camper so he can rest.

Hes in the back room asleep in bed, he has been for the past two hours. Im in the kitchen fixing lunch for the both of us, Ramon Noodles.

I stir in the beef mix and separate the noodles evenly into two bowls. I pour a glass of chocolate milk for Sami and make my way to the back room with both of or lunches.

Hes sleeping on his back, his hand is up by his face. He has his mouth open slightly and i watch the rythmic way that his chest moves up and down with each breath that he takes.
