"What the hell Lexi?" Jackie says into the phone. Im at home and it was almost ten o clock when she had called me. It is now ten thirty.

"Did you not see the big ass bruise on his face?" i ask her.

"Yes, but its not really your business anymore, now is it? What made you think he would just open up and tell you?"

"I thought we could still be friends. I didnt know that if i broke up with him then he would stop talking to me."

"Well, unless you're willing to forgive Sami, then you need to just stop trying to talk to him entirely. You're just making everything worse by talking to him. Now he wont even talk to me."

"And how is him not talking to you, my fault?"

"Hes too sad to talk to me, or anyone for that matter. You know his mom sat him down and tried talking to him the other day, but he wouldnt say one word. Thats all you Lexi. You broke Sami," and with that, she hung up, leaving me dumbfounded on the other end.

I never thought this to be my fault. I mean Sami's the one who went and had sex with Sophia, getting her pregnant. Why am i being blamed for Sami's state right now? He brought all of this on himself.

Sami deserves what hes getting.

"Dayyuuum. You look sexy, Lexi!" Rodney says as he spins me around. He chuckles to himself at the way he rhymed my name with sexy.

Rodney, Elle, and i are in my bedroom, getting ready to go out. Going out tonight was not my choice, Elle decided to pressure me into going, thinking it'll take my mind off of "him".

Lately ive been a mess so i can see where Elle and Rodney are coming from. I know they just want to help me, but i dont think going to a party will help any. I mean, afterall, parties were more Sami's crowd than mine.

Elle dressed me in a cute floral skirt and a long-sleeved cotton sweater. Im not really a big fan of dresses, but i promised Elle that i would let her dress me.

Elle also did my make-up, which was a smokey eye. It looks really good, i dont usually wear alot of make-up, but i have to give credit to Elle, i look pretty good.

My hair falls down to my lower back in soft curls. I look myself over in my full length mirror. Maybe i should have Elle pick out my outfits on a daily basis. Shes pretty good at it.

"Are you sure this will even help?" i ask Elle, unsure of her "plan" to get me over Sami.

"Im positive. This is how i got over my ex boyfriend Todd after he cheated on me. I just needed to open my eyes and see that there are a ton of hot, gorgeous guys in this world. Sami is only one of them. Now lets go!"

Elle grabs my wrist and pulls me out of my room and down the stairs to the living room.

"Shit. Guys' i forgot my phone upstairs in my bedroom. Ill meet you in the car?"

"Hurry up!"

I go up the stairs as fast as i can in two-inch heels. My phone is sitting on my dresser, waiting for me.

When i go to pick it up, a picture flutters to the ground.

I pick it up and turn it over. Its a picture of Sam and i at the amusement park we went to for New Years.

Sam is standing over me, his arms wrapped around my waist, his chin resting on the top of my head. Hes grinning like a child in a toy store. Im glancing upwards at my silly boyfriend and grinning myself.

I remember that day so clearly that you'd think it happened yesterday.

I love roller coasters. Theres just something about being on them and feeling completely weightless that i enjoy. For Sami, the feeling is the complete opposite.

I begged him to go on the "Trickster" with me. He finally gave in after the billionth time i had asked him.

"Trickster" is a roller coaster that takes you on so many loops and dips. I think there are about five total loops on the "Trickster".  Even though i absolutely loved the ride, it was probably the worst ride of Sami's life.

Sam and i were sitting in the second car up front. His head is down and his eyes are closed. Hes already strapped himself in tight, theres no turning back now.

The operator for the machine comes around to test and make sure that everybodies safety straps are secured safely and wont come undone during the ride.

"Are you going to be okay there, sir?" the operator stops at Sam and I's car. He is looking past me at the terrified Sami.

Sam looks up, "Has anyone ever died on this roller coaster before?" hes asks, being completely serious.

"No. If you want to get off, sir, we can let you off. But once you make your way up the hill, theres no going back."

"He'll be fine. He loves roller coasters," i tell the operator and he moves on down to the other cars behind us.

"I do not love roller coasters," Sam tells me through gritted teeth. Hes gripping the bars on his seat to tightly that his knuckles are white. Ive never seen anyone this afraid of roller coasters before.

This should be fun.

The man sitting in front of us turns around. He looks about twenty- five or thirty years old.

"Dont worry, kid, it'll be over before you know it," he had reassured Sami with an amused smile on his face.

Sami had ended up puking after the ride. As soon as the safety bars went up, he had shot out of his seat so fast i barely saw him running away. That was probably the funniest thing i had ever seen.

I sat with Sam at a nearby picnic table for about half an hour before he was ready to go on more rides, you know, the ones that stay on the ground.

I set the picture of Sami and i back on my dresser top and make my way back downstairs to where my friends are waiting for me.

I hope Elle and Rodney are right, and that going to this party will take my mind off of Sami, at least for a little while.
