Trouble in Paradise

Chapter 1

It was my first day going to East Bay High. My family had just moved from Miami. I was super nervous that i wouldnt make any new friends. That is until i met Mavis Reynolds.

Mavis is a not a quiet person, and she talks a LOT. She has beautiful, long black hair that reaches the small of her back, and dark, stormy grey eyes. Mavis is the person the office called down to show me around school and to help me find my classes.

It was just after second period and Mavis had already introduced me to her friends. Elle, who is really tall and slender and who has green eyes and shoulder length brown hair. And Rodney, hes short and husky, and is also gay.

His very first words to me were, "Hi, im Rodney, and i like dicks." Not the best first impression, but he seems alright.

"So Lexi, how are you liking East Bay so far?" Elle asked me. The three of us are standing in a small group in front of Mavis' locker.

"Its okay i guess. I mean it is really big."

"Youll get used to it," Rodney reassures me.

Just then i see him. I watch as he walks down the hallway toward our small little group.

This kid is absolutely beautiful. I cannot take my eyes off of him. His parents have got to be good looking if they were able to create that.

I snap out of my trance and find that the boy i was staring at just moments ago, is now standing right there in front of me. He has a lopsided grin plastered on his face. He is atleast two inches taller than me, so i had to look up if i wanted to look at his face, which i very much wanted to do.

I look up at him and he is grinning down at me, im beginning to think that the grin is permanent.

He cocked his head to one side and i realized that he had asked me a question, "Im sorry, what?" I feel so stupid for staring like an idiot.

"Whats your name?" he asks in a husky, and very sexy, voice.

"Oh, right, um, Lexi. My name is Lexi," Dammit. I just met this friggin kid and hes already got me flustered and tongue-tied.

"Do you have a last name?" he looks at me quizzically. I think his voice is just naturally confident. Everything he says comes out matter-of-factly.

"Its Merrhit."

He raises his hand out in front of himself, holding it out to me.

"Im Sam Tucker," he says.

I reach out and shake his hand. Its warm and soft and fits perfectly around mine.

He starts walking away, backwards, and i think he is going to fall, but then he calls out, "Ill talk to you later Lexi its Merrhit!" And then shouts to Mavis, "See ya Mav!"

"Get lost Sami!" He rolls his eyes and turns on his heel so that he is walking forward, and joins a group of guys down at the end of the hallway.

"I think someones got a crush," Elle says in a sing-song voice.

"What? I do not," i say defensively.

"Im not talking about you. Im mean Sami."

"Girl, did you see the way he was looking at you?" Rodney says.
