"Are you sure you have everything, sweetie?" Mrs. Tucker asks Sami for about the third time in ten minutes.

"Yes, mom, i have everything," Sami tells her, slightly annoyed at her overly protective mom questions.

Sam is currently rushing around his house getting any last minute things that he might need to pack for our spring break camping trip, because he is bad at planning ahead and decided to wait until the last minute to get everything ready..

Its Friday morning, i am at Samis house. I called him early this morning so i could be sure that he was up in time and ready to leave. But he must have spent his time differently.

Its 7:15am, and i called Sami at 5:40 this morning. It shouldnt take a guy this long to pack, should it? I dont even know what all he is packing, but hes got two suitcases packed and waiting by the door already, and hes still putting stuff into another bag, hes not done yet.

By 7:30 i am finally able to push him out the door after his mom kisses him on the cheek and gives him a long hug, like her son is going off for war instead of a week long camping trip. I have a feeling his mom has never let him be away from home for this long before.

"Bye, baby. I love you. And dont forget to text me as soon as you guys get there," Mrs. Tucker shouts after her son as we make our way down the walk and to my car, where Jessica is patiently waiting in the passenger seat.

I unlock the trunk of my car and help Sami load his suitcases along with my and Jess'.

"Why does she get to ride shotgun?" Sami asks me quietly.

"Because she wanted to. And because you took forever getting ready this morning."

"But-"

"Even after i called to wake you up in time. What took you so long anyway?"

Sam and i split ways and he goes to get in the backseat, while i slide into the drivers side.

"I got side-tracked," Sami replies vaguely. He moves so he is sitting in the middle of the backseat, so he can be right at my side, i guess, and leans over the center console. He immediantly starts messing with the radio dial, switching the station to something that he likes.

"You got side-tracked with what?" i ask him, "And stop messing with the radio," I swat his hand away from the dial, "We havent even gotten out of your driveway yet, and you're already starting to get on my nerves."

I put the car in reverse and turn around to look out the back window so i can see as im backing up.

"Um... Xbox," he tells me truthfully.

I stare at him in disbelief, "Seriously?"

"Yeah. Im going to be gone for an entire week. I had to play one more game before i left. And plus, i beat my highscore."

"How ever will you survive a week without your Xbox?" i say with way too much sarcasm than needed.

Sam either doesnt sense my sarcasm, or he ignores it and says, "I honestly dont know."

I chuckle at the amount of seriousness in his voice, and so does Jessica.

"Oh, right. Im so sorry. Jess, this is my boyfriend, Sami," i introduce her to Sami, "And Sami, this is Jessica, my cousin."

Jessica sticks out her hand, politely, toward Sami, "Hi Sami."

Sam grabs her hand and shakes it, "Actually," he gives me a pointed look before looking back at Jess, "its just Sam."

"Right, sorry. Sam," she corrects.

Sam then reaches for the radio dial again and flips through the stations, as if i didnt just tell him to quit that a few moments ago. God, he is so frustrating.
