AN: Part of this chapter is the same day the previous chapter left off.

I was sitting by the fire pit when I heard a commotion. People were talking in frightened voices and pointing at the sky. I looked up and saw a similar object to the one that contained the Sky People falling from it.

Not again...

I stood up and watched as it fell gracefully to the ground. People were frightened.

Is it more Sky People? I thought to myself.

If they were bringing more down, it could spark a war between us. Anya didn't like sharing anything. Especially land. After a while people started to go into their homes. It was going to be a long day tomorrow.
------------------------------------------------------

I was right.

I was currently walking in the woods with Lincoln. When the sun had just barely rose in the sky, Anya had sent for me. When I reached her, she had told me that she was going to send Lincoln and I after the object. Better to find it before the Sky People I suppose. I agreed.

The forest was beautiful. The air was crisp and had a cool sharpness to it. Light dew was covering the grass and trees moss. Lincoln was walking ahead of me slightly and I started thinking about Arin. I hadn't spoken to Arin since the day with the fog, but I have spoken with Tonya.

-------Flashback-------

"What's wrong with Arin?" I asked her. We had been talking for quite a while and the question has been eating at me. Tonya looked at me with a puzzled expression on her face.

"What do you mean?" She asked. I looked around us to make sure no one was listening in. Tonya was the only one I could talk to about boys. Lincoln would tease me and Anya wouldn't care.

"Well..." I started, "Something happened between us and he still continues to act as if I don't exist."

When I looked at Tonya, she had a smirk on her face.

"Did he kiss you?" She asked smiling. I gasped.

"No! We didn't do anything like that." Her smile faltered.

"Some things were said between us and now its weird." I clarified.

"What was said?" Tonya asked.

"I asked him why he's become so indifferent and he replied that he let himself care to much." I said quickly. This conversation was starting to become a bit awkward.

Tonya looked as if she knew something I didn't.

"Joyla...he's a bit...something happened..." She sounded as if she was trying to figure out the right way to say it, but before she could continue Arin approached us.

"Tonya, Kaisher is looking for you."  He said. Tonya got up, sent me an apologetic smile, and left. Arin followed close behind her, never looking back.

-------End-------

I was snapped from my memory when Lincoln stopped sharply. I almost walked into him. He crouched down low to the ground and I copied his moves quickly.

"Bellamy, what are you doing?"

"Get back to camp, it isn't safe."

It was a male and female that were speaking. Curiosity got the better of me and I slowly rose to peek at them, but Lincoln pulled me down.

"You lied to everyone. You lied to me. You just want whatever's in that pod--"

"Just go home!" Bellamy interrupted.

"You always wanna play the big brother, huh? Well guess what, jokes on me you're just a selfish dick."

"I did this for you, to protect you. Look, if the Ark finds out we're alive they'll come down. And when the do, I'm dead."

"What did you do?" The girl asked, her voice slightly shaking.

"I shot him. I shot Jaha." Bellamy replied, "I found out they were sending you to earth. I--I couldn't let you go alone. Someone came to me with a deal. Do this, kill him, and they'll get me on the dropship. And I did it."

"You killed the Chancellor?"

"He floated our mother. He locked you up. He deserved it." Bellamy's voice was starting to sound desperate.

"I didn't ask you to do that." She said.

"You're right. I made the choice, this is on me. Whatever they sent down, I'll take care of it."

"I didn't ask for any of this." The girl replied. Not long after we heard her walking quickly in our direction. When she passed, Lincoln slowly got up to see if Bellamy was there. He wasn't.

"Go after her, I'll go after him." Lincoln said to me. Before I could reply he already had left. I reluctantly ran in the direction she had.
------------------------------------------------------

I've been following her long enough to know that she wasn't going back to camp right away. I kind of felt bad for her. She was obviously upset about the conversation she had with her brother.

The sun was going to start setting in an hour or so and my feet were beginning to hurt. We were walking on top of a hill and I wasn't really looking where I was going. I became careless.

She was walking ahead of me by about ten meters. Its a little too close but she was completely clueless so I didn't think too much of it. I don't even know why Lincoln wanted me to follow her. She's not doing anything worth paying attention to. She was pretty I had to admit. She was probably a few years younger than me.

I was pulled from my thoughts when I accidentally stepped on a small branch. I stopped and looked up at her. She had heard me and immediately ran away. I followed her and by the time I caught up, she was lying at the bottom of the hill. I approached her slowly. When I reached her, I rolled her over and saw that she had blood on the side of her head. She was unconscious. I didn't know what to do but get Lincoln. He wanted me to go after her anyways.
------------------------------------------------------

I was running for quite a while. She could be dead by now for all I know. I'll admit...I was a bit worried. It was then that I ran into a large body. I looked up and to my great relief, it was Lincoln.

"Joyla, I've seen it." He said. "It was only big enough for one person, so we have no need to worry."

"Lincoln, that girl, she's hurt." I said, panting.

"What do you mean?" He asked. I grabbed his hand and ran off in her direction.

By the time we reached her it was dark. They only thing allowing us to see was this strange fire-like thing the Sky People were launching.

Lincoln was kneeling down over her body. "She should be okay." He said. I breathed out a sigh of relief. I didn't kill her. Just then, she woke up. She looked at Lincoln and I. The once hazy look on her face turned into one of fear.

It wasn't long before she drifted into unconsciousness again.
