A/N: Hey! Sorry guys, you're probably hoping for a virals encounter here.  But when I published the last chapter, it cut off the ending and I couldn't read it all on my phone, so to be safe, I split it into two chapters. Don't worry though, I'm working on the next chapter and hopefully within a week I'll have it up. So, hope you enjoy!

P.S. The picture is called Dream Bedroom by ~iteatsbrainsx on deviant art. It's the closest thing I could find that looked kind of like the bedroom that Katrina has

With that, she swept back inside and Darcy and I followed her. "Now this house is built more up than out, so I hope you like stairs." Darcy explained "because we have four floors, if you count the basement. The kitchen and living room are on the ground floor, the first floor has a master bedroom with a bathroom, a study, and another bathroom, then there's the top floor which is sort of like an attic, but not really...."

I noticed the potential problem right as Jade looked at me and picked up where Darcy left off. "Since there's only one real bedroom in the house, unfortunately, you will have to take up residence on the top floor. But don't worry, top floor bunking also includes a balcony outside and a great view of both stars and sunrises!"

I decided I'd better scope out my new room before commenting. "Can I go see?" I asked

"Why sure!" Darcy smiled, relieved yet again at my lack of outbursts. "We already put in a bed for you, as well as dresser, a desk, and a bookshelf to put you belongings in."

I nodded my gratitude and made my way upstairs, carrying my belongings up with me. When I reached the top floor, I found myself in my new space, and I was pretty impressed. The area was nice and spacious due to it being the sole room on the floor, so I had plenty of room for...whatever I wanted to do really. The bed, desk, dresser, and bookshelf were a natural oak color, and appeared to be a matching set. I walked over to the bed on the far left corner and plunked my suitcase and backpack onto it .The duvet cover on the bed was a plain light green color, my favorite color in fact, which was a nice coincidence.

I opened my backpack first, pulling out my journal first. The only thing that certified it as a journal was the subtle "journal" printed on the cover. Other than that, I actually write poetry/songs inside, not lame confessions of daily life/secrets/blah. Unfortunately, my old one burned up, so I had to start from scratch again and try to recreate the pieces I could remember. I placed that and my brand new pencil bag with an assortment of writing utensils on the desk. On the bookshelf I put the Inheritance Cycle (four large, awesome dragon books), the beginning of what I hope to be my new collection. Last to be pulled out of the backpack was a plush and cuddly little septiceye sam and his buddy, tiny box tim (compliments to jacksepticeye and markiplier, you guys are awesome).

Opening the suitcase now, I pull out my assortment of clothes and placed them in the dresser. They consist mostly of various printed tshirts that involved multiple games, books, and designs. Also placed in the dresser were a few shorts, a couple pairs of jeans, a simple black dress that I wore to my family's funeral and can use for whatever formal thing I need now, and a warm, fuzzy blue sweatshirt, the one thing I actually have from my house that survived the fire, mainly because I was wearing it at the time and it somehow escaped with barely a singe on it. I won't get into the specifics for undergarments, lets just say I'm covered.

Unpacking done, I scanned my new belongings feeling a bit melancholy. The unpacking made me feel a bit more settled in and made this place seem more like home, but at the same time I missed my old home and all my old things that are gone, not to mention my family...

Before I can tear up, Darcy pops upstairs and interrupts my bittersweet memories. "Suppers downstairs, come and get it while it's hot!" I follow her downstairs and find Jade seated at a table with a box of pizza sitting in the middle. "Now typically, we try to eat healthy here. But on busy days and special occasions, a little leeway is given, so enjoy this pizza while you can" Darcy finished her explanation with a grin and proceeded to slice the pizza. It was a simple cheese pizza, nothing fancy, but after a day's travel without much lunch (just some snacks I got at the airport, food lines were too long) , it was delicious.

After dinner I excused myself and went up to my room to relax and settle in. Once I got up there I realized I didn't check out the roof deck yet. So I went over to the door on the left and opened it up, stepping outside into the darkness (sunset was around 5:45, so it was getting pretty dark already). The view was spectacular. The deck faced out towards the sea and I could hear the waves softly lap at the shores. Looking up, I saw innumerable stars gleaming above me like so many little fireflies, dusted across the darkening sky. Needless to say, I was going to be out on the balcony as much as possible. I'd better check in to see if Darcy has a camera for sure, the shots I can get here are spectacular.

I yawn, and realize I am actually pretty tired. I haven't been entirely sleeping much so I was already fatigued, but add all the adventure of today to that and I was flat out exhausted. I sleepily walk over to my bed and flop down on it, wriggling under the covers and cuddling with my plushies. Maybe since I'm so tired, I can actually get a full night's sleep and not have to deal with nightmares. I guess I'll find out. My last coherent thought before sleep engulfed me was whether or not there might be wolves here on the island. I sure hoped so, maybe I could befriend them like I did back home. Home...
