A/N: Hi guys! Sorry this one's shorter, but I haven't had much time to write. Anyways, here's a little glimpse into Tory's mind...

*Tory pov*

Well, Katrina is a mystery, that's for certain. So far all of my experiences with her have been full of strange surprises. From the first time she ran into us on Morris, to just now when she found my favorite hidey hole on her first day at school. It's almost as if fate is leading her into our lives, whether we like it or not.

I shake my head, that's a ridiculous notion. It could only be just a streak of luck, either good or bad. But it was unsettling, how she kept finding our most secretive places.

Fate or not, she was going to be a problem if she knows of our Viral side. And you know what they say about enemies...keep your friends close, and your enemies closer. Besides, I did feel kind of sorry for her. She's obviously been through a lot, and I get the sense we are probably more similar than I think.

Honestly, despite all the time I've spent thinking about her and how she impacts our pack, I just don't know what really to do in the end. She's a Morris Islander, but she's not a Viral. She's potentially dangerous, but so far friendly. She is in sore need of a friend, but I'm not sure if we can be her friends or not.

She seems so smart, interesting, but broken. Like some terrible things have happened to her and she needs someone. Currently, she has no one really, and she basically voiced that herself when she said both the pack and everyone else at school hated her.

I'm torn. Torn between the instinct of protecting and hiding the pack at all cost, and accepting another good candidate into our group. I've been burned too many times to be able to fully trust an outsider, but at the same time I want to be her friend.
