A/N: Hey everyone! Thanks for being patient with my sporadic updates, in reward, here's part 1 of the next chapter a few days early! I finally have a little breathing room and inspiration to write, so I hope to have the next part up by Saturday if not sooner. I've got big, big plans though for Friday irl, so I won't be online most of the day. So the next chap will either be tomorrow, or Saturday. Hope you all enjoy!

Hi and I walked to his house, which actually turned out to be the one next door. The moment he opens the door opens a woman descends upon him assails him with questions. "Hiram Stolowitski, where on earth have you been?! I thought you said you didn't have anything after school today, you haven't been getting into trouble, have you?!" Pausing in her tirade, she notices me and her chastised mood practically disappears. "Why who is this Bubby? You haven't told me you have a new friend, is she your girlfriend?"

"Moooooom" Hi groaned "She's just a friend from school, she moved onto Morris island about a week ago"

"Oh, you're the darling that Darcy and Jade are looking after, aren't you? Well don't you worry, my son may have some problems with his manners, but everyone here on Morris is friendly with each other."

Turning on the charm, I beam at her "Thank you so much! Hiram's been a great friend, showing me around the school and all, and now introducing me to you. It's a real pleasure to meet you Mrs. Stolowitski."

She beams at me, thoroughly charmed "I'm so glad I could meet you too! Who knows, maybe you'll be the one to teach some sense to my son" In a stage whisper, she continues "I'm sure my husband and I would approve if you two ever wanted to be more than friends..."

"OKAY MOM" Hi interrupts "We're going to go do some homework now if you don't mind, so bye!" With that, he practically drags me up all the stairs to the top floor. I take one step into the room and laugh to myself. The design is cookie cutter-exact same shape as mine, but yet it was the opposite of my minimal, neat room.

One word: stuff. Things were strewn around the room willy-nilly with no clear order to it all. A desk housing a computer and a pile of various wrappers is huddled in a corner with a mini-fridge next to it. A bed resides in the other corner with a tangle of sheets and blankets heaped in the middle. A tv/gaming station sits between the two against the wall with two beanbags occupying probably the only clear space on the floor. Assorted gaming posters hang on the walls haphazardly, some hanging on by a single corner.

Hi chuckles sheepishly "Whoops, guess I haven't really organized in a while"

" A while?" I question, raising an eyebrow. He grins "Yeah, a  while."

"So, you wanted to go on a gaming adventure?" I ask, letting him off the hook.

"Oh yeah! Do you play prop hunt? Shelton and I wanted to get another member on our team"

"I haven't played it, but I have watched it" I admit. It seemed to be good enough for him, cause he chucks a controller at me, which I catch with relative ease but was nonetheless startled. "Great! Then let's play! Shelton should be online in about half an hour, so I can show you the ropes until then."
