*Vic's POV*
"Yes, mom. Yes, I know that too. No, I won't do that. Those are just superstitions, mom," Kellin was laying down on the couch with his hand over his stomach as gave me an annoyed look, listening to his mom's endless talk about pregnancy experiences.
Ever since he told his mom that he was going to keep the baby, she's been telling him all kinds of things to have a "healthy" pregnancy. She's happy for the most part except when she remembers that Kellin could possibly die when he gives birth.
"Okay. Okay. Bye, mom. Love you too," he hung up, sighing deeply, "I thought she was never going to stop talking, I was going to shoot myself."
I chuckled at sat beside him, "You have to understand her, one day you'll be doing the same thing to our child," I intertwined my fingers with his.
"I vow to not be as annoying as my mom when my child grows up," he put his hand to his chest, "Vic, I want icecream."
"Oh no, has begun," I said dramatically as I poked his side, causing him to laugh.
"Stop it! I really want icecream!" He said in between giggles.
"Alright, alright, I'll go get you some. What flavor?"
"Coffee," he placed his finger on his chin, thinking, "Bring me some cookies and pickles while you're at it- ooh bring me fries and a cheeseburger, tell them to add extra cheese!"
"Jesus, Kellin, you have the appetite of an elephant," I laughed.
He pouted, "Shut up, I am eating for two, after all."
"Anything else my two hungry lovelies would like?" I asked as I kissed his stomach.
"Gummy worms."
"Alright," I gave him a quick kiss, "I'll be back as soon as possible."
~
I was at the supermarket when I saw Justin stacking cereal boxes. Kellin finally forgave him when they were in their third semester of college, along with Mike. We sort of lost contact with them after that, it's been a while since I last saw them.
"Hey, Vic, long time no see," he smiled.
"Hey, Justin," I politely smiled back, let's just say I still haven't quite forgiven him for what he did to Kellin.
"How you've been? How's Kellin?" He tried to make small talk but I wasn't really in the mood for it.
"We're good, what about you?" I mindlessly looked for Kellin's favorite cereal.
"His favorite cereal is over here," he handed me the Fruity Pebbles.
"What- How did you know what I was looking for?"
"Just a hunch. Besides, we've been bestfriends for quite some time, I know the same things you do," he shrugged, "But anyway, I haven't been good and I haven't been bad either but I would've liked to have a better job than this one."
"Ohh," was all I managed to say.
I headed towards the isle that had the pickles and picked the biggest jar I could find, I didn't notice that Justin followed me, "Woah, that's a lot of pickles."
I jumped a little, "Uh, yeah, Kellin likes pickles."
I walked towards the frozen section, this time I noticed he followed but I ignored him as I looked for the icecream, "Okay, either someone is pregnant or on their period, which one is it?"
"I'm not trying to be rude or anything but do you need something?" I didn't like being followed around while I was shopping.
"I just wanted to see how you guys were, I miss seeing my bestfriend," he mumbled sadly.
I sighed, "Since you're his bestfriend, I guess you should know something..."
"What is it?" He bit bottom lip nervously.
"Kellin is pregnant."
At that moment, his eyes looked like they were going to pop out right out of his head, "You're joking, last time I checked it was April Fools yet."
"Why would I joke about something like this? This is my future family we're talking about," I said defensively as I grabbed the icecream and placed it into my basket.
"But-But how? It's not possible," he looked as confused as a kindergartener looking at a college math equation for the first time.
"Well, believe it or not, it's true," I walked towards the check out line and grabbed a few packs of gummy worms.
"Holy shít," he said in awe, "I'd like to visit him if that's okay with you."
"Uh... I'll talk to Kellin first," I grabbed my bags, "I guess I'll see you some other time."
Note to self, don't come to this supermarket again.
"Bye Vic, say hi to Kellin for me!" He waved as he went back to the cereal isle.
I went back to my car, what else did I need to buy? Oh right, his cheeseburger. Off to Shake Shack I go.
~
I came home and saw Kellin sound asleep on the couch, poor thing fell asleep waiting for his food. I placed the bags in the kitchen, putting away his tub of icecream in the freezer. Should I wake him up?
I was about to carry him into our room when he sleepily said, "Nooo, I want to eat."
I lightly laughed, "Your wish is my command."
I brought out all the things I bought and placed them on the coffee table, seeing a huge smile spread across his face, "You don't know how much I'm thankful for this," his eyes looked glassy as tears threatened to spill.
Hormones, I should've known, "Oh, Kells, don't cry, you know I do this all for you with love," I kissed his cheek, "Now let's eat, now I think I'm more hungry than you are."
We were watching The Big Bang Theory as he gobbled down his food, he was done before I was. At this rate, I would have to restock our pantry everyday.
"Are you still hungry?" He guiltily nodded, blush forming on his cheeks, "Here, have my cheeseburger, I don't want it anymore."
"Are you sure?"
"Yup," actually, I was still hungry but he needed more food than I did.
He happily gobbled down the cheeseburger, rubbing his stomach once he was done, "God, I'm so full."
He laid down on the couch and placed his legs on top of my lap, "Hey, Vic, what would you like the baby to be? A boy or a girl?"
"Hmm, it could be a rainbow unicorn and I would still love it either way."
"Oh, come on! I'm being serious," he whined.
"I'm being serious too!" I mimicked.
"Okay, okay! Sheesh," he rolled his eyes.
"All I want is for the baby look like you," I tapped his nose with my finger, "We're going to have a mini-Kellin running around the house."
"Or a mini-Vic," he argued back.
"I'm still hoping for a mini-Kellin. When do you get for first sonogram?"
"In about a week I think."
"Once we know the gender we'll decide on names, how does that sound?"
"Sounds like a good idea."
We were continued watching The Big Bang Theory until we ended up falling asleep.
