Day after day Adrien would visit Marinette's house to check on her. She never answered the door although he knew she was there.

He only had 2 days left.

He didn't know it. That was the worst part.

After once again trying to get to Marinette, but giving up as usual he decided to take a stroll.

He went to the park and sat on the bench. Looking up at the clear blue sky.

His lady had surely flown off to New York by now.

I wonder if she's alright. He thought to himself.

He started to get up from the bench to go home.

Well that's what he had in mind until he got tackled to the ground.

He opened his eyes to see Manon.

"Manon what are you doing!?" He asked as he helped her get up.

"I ran away from home." She pouted.

"What! Why?" He asked quite concerned.

"Because mommy and daddy told me that I was getting a new babysitter." She frowned.

"What's wrong with that?" He asked.

"I don't want a new babysitter."

"Plus my old babysitter promised me she'd always stay by me. I hate it when people break their promises." She said bitterly.

"Manon!" A female voice was heard.

Manon turned her head and ran towards the person that called her tackling them.

Adrien looked towards them to see if they were alright.

His eyes widened as he realized the girl Manon tackled was Marinette.

Marinette sat up and Manon was sitting on the grass pouting.

"Your parents told me you ran away." Marinette said sternly.

"So?" She said with an attitude.

"So! You could've gotten hurt, or worse! Don't ever, leave by yourself! Do you hear me. I wouldn't be able to live with myself knowing that something bad happened to you." Marinette said furiously, but then moved onto a loving tone.

Manon started crying.

"I'm sorry!..sniff..please don't go Marinette!" She sobbed.

"Manon I'm sorry I wish I could stay, but things happen..look at me...ill always be here for you okay. Whether or not I'm physically there. I'll promise to keep in touch." She said while dearly hugging Manon and then staring directly at her.

"Now please. Let's go back home." Marinette smiled.

"Ok!" Manon said.

Marinette had to carry Manon home. Manon refused to walk, but Marinette didn't mind.

Then there was Adrien standing there in shock at how motherly Marinette had acted.

It reminded him of his mom.

-------------------------------------

"Oh Marinette! How could I ever thank you!" Manon's mother cried.

"Just make sure Manon gets a loving babysitter." She smiled.

Manon and her mother nodded in agreement.

Marinette leaned down and kissed Manon on the forehead. She then whispered something in her ear.

Manon looked at Marinette with glittering eyes.

Marinette placed her index finger on her mouth. Manon rapidly nodded.

-----------------------------------

Marinette noticed Adrien out of the corner of her eye.

"Something wrong?" She asked. Trying not to get to flustered.

"So I haven't seen you in weeks and the first thing you tell me is something wrong?" He said sarcastically trying to lighten up the mood.

"Sorry about that, things have been tough lately." She smiled as they entered the elevator.

Adrien smiled back until he remembered the grave.

His first impulse was to pull Marinette into a hug.

She was way to flustered to respond.

"Marinette."

"Y-yea."

"You're so brave. Very incredibly brave." He said as his grip tightened.

Tears began to stroll down her face.

"How did you find out."

"I took a walk. And I just happened to pass by it." He said pulling away from the hug.

"Is that why you were knocking on our door non-stop?" She asked.

"Yea..."

"Oh god I'm so sorry!?"

"It's alright I understand, now let's go I'll walk you home since it's pretty late." He offered.

She nodded and walked with him.

---------------------------------

"Thanks for walking me home I appreciate it." She smiled.

"You're welcome. Also if you ever need anything just call me okay, I'll see you soon goodnight Marinette!" He grinned.

"Goodbye Adrien." She said with a forced smile.

---------------------------------

"So you finally told him a proper goodbye." Tikki said.

"Well I guess you could say that." Marinette sighed.

"Also I'm quite curious, what did you whisper to Manon?" Tikki asked.

Marinette turned around smiling with tears streaming down her face.

"Bye bye, little butterfly~"
