Keira
I laid down on my bed studying for my test later on today. I haven't talked to Trey yet about my pregnancy, but I'm so nervous. His reaction means everything to me.
Ashlee knocked on the door as she came in. "How was the appointment?" She asked me sitting on the edge on my bed. I grabbed my prenatal vitamins and gave them to her. "You're pregnant!" Ashlee yelled jumping right up. "Shhh, shut up I don't want anyone knowing yet." I whispered. "Did you tell Trey yet? Your dad?" "I'm scared." "Well don't hide it from them, it might make matters worse. You should tell someone in your family first." Ashlee told me. Ashlee was right, I can't keep this in, I need to tell someone and I know exactly who I want to tell.
"Where are we going?" Ashlee asked me as we were in her car, and she was driving down the Miami streets. "To visit Alton Lansing." I replied.
Alton Lansing is my dad's half brother, he's one of the richest men in Miami. My dad isn't ever fond of Alton, so Seth and I never really had a relationship with him. At the Clemson game, during halftime, I ran into Alton and he gave me his phone number and address.
"Is Alton Lansing like your uncle or something?" Ashlee questioned. "Something like that." I responded. I watched the address carefully, making sure we wouldn't pass up his house, but how could I miss it, it would be the biggest on block.
"Stop, that's his house." I pointed at the large cream colored house with a hill driveway leading to the garage beside the house. "How do you know?" "I just know." Google images is a very helpful tool.
Ashlee parked right in the driveway and got out and slowly walked to the front door. I hope he's here. I see lights on in the house and I see a Lamborghini right outside the garage. Alton has always been materialistic, and it always annoyed the hell out of my dad.
I ringed the doorbell and waited patiently for a few seconds. So far no one came to the door. I ringed the doorbell again and I could hear someone trying to unlock the locks on the door.
A woman in a light blue shirt and a navy blue skirt with a blue apron around her answered the door. "Can I help you miss?" She asked holding a lemonade pitcher. "Umm, I was looking for Alton Lansing." I told her beginning to shake and I didn't know why I was. "How do you know Mr. Lansing?" "He's my uncle, please I need to see him." I pleaded. The woman nodded and she let me in. I turned to Ashlee who was still at her car. "Are you coming in?" I asked her. "No, I saw a strip mall up the street, I'll check it out, I'll be back in 45 minutes." Ashlee replied getting back in her car and starting the engine.
I rolled my eyes and entered. The woman closed the door behind me and walked away. I wasn't sure what to do, I just stood still and began looking around at the house. It was a grand house, with wooden floors and tan colored walls. Alton had pictures of himself everywhere and on the table in the center I noticed two picture sets, one of my grandfather and the other of a little girl.
"Keira?" Alton called my name as he was tying his robe shut. "I'm glad you actually came, come with me." Alton lead me into his kitchen. I took a sit at the kitchen table. "Would you like something to drink?" He offered as he poured more alcohol in his glass. "No." I declined. Alton took a sip before he asked me a question. "So, what brings you to my world?" I lifted a brow as Alton had a smirk on his face. "You like alcohol too." I said as I saw all the different types of alcohol. "I don't have a problem like Kenneth." Alton got defensive. "I didn't say you did." "Why are you here?" He asked me.
