TREY:

My teammates were in the banquet room, sitting around joking, laughing. I love this seeing my team so happy, I mean in the beginning, I thought we were going to kill one another. "Carruth! How was the doctor's appointment?" Johnston asked as he saw me. "It was good." I pulled out the ultrasound pictures. "We're having a girl." "A girl? Congrats man, you'll enjoy every second." Shawn congratulated me as he took a look at the pictures. "She has your nose!" Kevin pointed out. "Man, I can't wait to see her at the games next year, imma be spoiling the mess out of her." Johnston stated.

Coach eyed me down as my teammates looked at the pictures of my daughter. "Well I need to talk to you guys." I told my teammates. "What's up?" Kevin asked. "Well, um, I decided to enter the NBA draft, I'm going to the NBA." I struggled to let those words out of my mouth. The room was silent for a couple seconds and I was panicking on what to do. "Guys? Y'all mad?" I asked. "No, why would we? We want nothing but the best for you." Shawn replied. I was so relieved. "As long as you come back and visit, support us, and make sure we see your daughter and can come watch you in the NBA, then everything will be good." Johnston stated as he gave back the ultrasound pictures. Thank God, they aren't mad. "Well I want you guys there when I announce my entry in the NBA draft." I explained. My teammates agreed.

Shawn helped me as I was packing my things and leaving the dorm. This was the dorm I shared with Shawn, probably where I conceived my daughter. There's so many memories. Lots of shit happened in the last year. I figured out who I was, I fell in love, made friends for life. Now I'm going to be a role model for young boys who need guidance, I'm going to be a dad, I have to teach my daughter from right to wrong, and I have to maintain being a great lover to Keira and prove my worth to her dad. "I'm really going  to miss you." I told Shawn. "Man don't trip, I'm coming to visit you all the time and I'll bring Kiyan to meet the baby once she's born." Shawn assured. Shawn pulled out a small black box and gave it to me. "Open it." He told me. I opened it and saw a huge diamond ring. "I'm going to propose to Natalie. I wanna spend the rest of my life with her." I was blindsided! Marriage! That's something that I'm considering with Keira, once the baby's born. "Keira and Natalie sure got us whipped." Both Shawn and I began laughing, but it ended when I heard a knock on the door.

Shawn looked at me and I looked at him, "Who the hell has decided to disturb us?" I asked in a mocking voice as I march over to the door. "Albridge?" I yelled out in disbelief. "Hey Trey, I wanted to come and congratulate you on the championship." Albridge said. What the hell has happened to him?  Albridge looked like he hadn't slept in days, he's literally bones and his breath? Don't get me started on that. "You okay man?" I know he hand a tough time since being kicked off and it didn't help when Johnston went around talking shit about him. "I'm fine, I just want to give my congrats, good luck on your career." "Albridge, I always enjoyed your presence on your team. I loved your dedication and I hope you're doing well, you're a great person." I told him. He needed to hear that, he needs something positive in his life. "Thanks, Trey. Take care." That was so strange, it seemed like a cry for help.

Today's the day. Keira, my mom, my siblings, my daughter, my teammates, Coach, and more were in the press conference room. I know there's millions watching it on tv and on the internet. "I would like to thank God, for giving me this talent and bringing me so far in life. My family thank you for the support, and my girlfriend thank you for the unconditional love and my teammates, you guys were truly my rock. But next season will be a test and I'm so sorry but I won't be taking this ride with you guys. I've decided to go to the NBA. Basketball is my life and I want to further it, I have a daughter coming soon, she is my new motivation as I start this new chapter." I spoke, addressing the crowd. Reporters asked for questions, but I declined. I walked down from the podium and took Keira into my arms. "We're going to be okay." I whispered in her ears. "I love you so much." She told me as she embraced me tighter. Everything will be okay. I got confidence.
