Love Me Tomorrow

Chapter 24

TREY:

       August was here and Keira's baby shower is next week. Monaé and my mom wants to host the baby shower. Keira didn't mind, so they both agreed to have in L.A. I lead Keira into the doctor's office. The doctor smiled as she watched Keira sit down. "How have you been feeling?" She asked Keira. Keira let out a sigh. "Tired. My back is hurting me." Keira replied.

          Seems that's all Keira been feeling in pain. Some people just can't be pregnant, and Keira seems to be one of them. She really only enjoys it when she feels the baby kick or the baby move in general. The doctor turned on the ultrasound and showed the baby to us. "It looks like she's progressing well. I see all ten fingers and ten toes. Her heart sounds good." "Then why am I in pain?" "Maybe cause this is your thrid trimester and the baby will be here soon." The doctor was optimistic. It seemed that she didn't know much. It feels like something's wrong.

MELISSA:

     I opened the door to Trey's penthouse. I landed half an hour ago to start planning with Monaé for Keira's baby shower. I wanted to be happy for my son, but I was in much distress with Nicole. How can I hide something so brutal from Trey? He needs to know. "Hi Melissa." Keira greeted me with barely a hug as she came in. "Hey Keira and hi my little princess." I said touching Keira's large belly. "Mom, how's everything? The twins didn't want to come?" Trey asked as he was checking something on his phone. "They're coming this weekend, besides I left a couple days earlier than what I was suppose to." I responded. Trey seemed suspicious of me as he lifted an eyebrow. Just ignore him.

             "I'm going to go lay down." Keira announced as she went into her and Trey's bedroom. It was just me and my boy left. "Mom." He called out my name. "Yes, Trey?" I answered. "What is going on?" Trey reached in his pocket and pulled out a sheet of paper. "What is this?" I asked as I reached for it. "Why is Alfred suing you? Why has Ty been charged with assault?"  Busted!  "Don't worry about it." I told him. "Mom, it is my business, Alfred has me in the lawsuit, I have every reason to know." I sighed. "Alfred thinks that I'm keeping you away from him and he claims I used some money for my benefits and not yours." I confessed. I'll tell him about the lawsuit, but he's not going to find out about Ty and Devin's altercation.

           "Mom, he can't keep doing this. Lawsuit after lawsuit this needs to stop." Trey stated. All of his life he always dealt with all of the drama and the court battles. This was why I didn't want Alfred apart of Trey's life, cause all this would occur. "Maybe if I start associating him in my life maybe he will stop all the drama." Trey spoke.  What is he talking about?  "Trey? What are you trying to say?" "Maybe I should let him be my agent." "When have you been thinking about this?" I couldn't believe what I was hearing. "I'm just trying to protect myself and my family, Mom." "Bringing him closer is just going to cause more problems." "How will I know if I don't try." "You're so wrong, Trey. But go ahead. I want to hire him, and I want to sit back and see what happens." This has to be the worse decision he's probably going to ever make.
