KEIRA:
Melissa had the biggest smile on her face as she talked to her first grandchild, my daughter. "Still thinking of a name?" Melissa asked. It was just me, my daughter, Melissa and Monaé. Trey left to go workout. Seth had a press event for the Warriors. My dad was preparing his townhouse in LA, for my daughter and I to come home. I can't stay with Trey right now.
"Yeah." I sighed. I have an idea for a name, but my heart just keep saying no. "You and Trey never sat and talked about names?" "We did. We thought about Kai and Alaina." "But you don't want to name her that?" Melissa understood how I was feeling. "No, I was thinking of Briseis Noelle Carruth." That name had always stuck with me ever since I had that talk with my mom.
"I like it, it's cute. Briseis is different and Noelle, what a great way to remember your mom." A hospital official came in with the computer. I knew exactly what that meant. Birth certificate time. "Hi Keira, it's time for the birth certificate." The official told me with a bright smile. She made me feel really warm, weird. "Great. I decided on a name." I told her as I placed Briseis down beside me. "Okay her first name?" I took a long pause before I replied. I really wanna do this. I really wanna name her Briseis. Trey will not be stopping me. He's not even here! Which I'm pissed already. "Briseis." I finally said. Melissa seemed delighted as she sat back in the chair facing my bed. "Okay, her middle name?" "Noelle." "Last name?" Melissa jumped in before I could comment. "My son isn't here, he's gone right now. So can we still have his last name?" The official shook her head no. "No ma'am. He needs to be here to sign the papers. For now the baby's name is Briseis Noelle Lansing." The official answered as she finished typing on the computer. Trey is going to kill me.

TREY:
Even the goddamn NBA, I'm finishing my suicides first. Of course I need to keep my humbleness, these older players will be all over my ass if I don't. Practice is different, I'm not use to these guys. I've been watching them since I was little and now I'm their starting point guard. "Alright, let's bring it in now." Coach said as he blew his whistle. I jogged over towards Coach as the others followed. "Good things today in practice, men. But there are things to improve if we want to beat the Lakers, the Thunder or any team in the league."
"They all have an experienced point guard." One of my teammates commented. Stay calm. Don't say anything. Don't wanna get suspended or anything. I just smiled towards him as Coach sighed. "Let's end for now. Practice at 10." We all split and I grabbed my bag and water bottle. "Hey Carruth." One of my teammates said. I wasn't sure which one it was. I found myself looking around trying to figure out who it was. "Carruth." My teammate Griffin said once again. "Griffin, hey what's up man?" I said as I fist bumped him. "How's your baby girl?" He asked as we walked out together. "She's great. I'm going to the hospital to see her now." I responded. "Well I was just letting you know that if you needed anything, then let me know." "Thanks, I believe we'll be bringing her home, so I might be taking up that offer." I joked as I unlocked my car. I need a new car, this is crazy. My car is like shit.

I gave my daughter multiple kisses as I saw her sleeping in her car seat. Keira was looking good. Her stomach, already was smaller, she looked good for our daughter to only be 2 days old. A knock came on the door as the doctor came in with papers. "Alright Keira, here's all the instructions and everything and this is the birth certificate. If you need anything, contact my office." "Alright, thanks doc." Birth certificate? We never came up with a name. "What did you name her?" I asked. "Briseis Noelle Lansing." Keira said with an attitude. Who the fuck told her she can have an attitude? "What the hell? We were suppose to name her." "We couldn't if you were gone! You should have never left!" "I have no choice! I'm a professional basketball player." "Your daughter comes first Trey!" Keira shouted, disturbing Briseis. She began whining and Keira approached her. I moved her car seat closer to me.
"I got this." I told her. "No! You wanna take care of her now cause you mad? Hell no." Keira tried to move me over. I wasn't going to take that. I shoved Keira and soon she shoved me right back. "I'm not fucking with you!" I yelled as I shoved Keira right to the ground. Oh shit, what did I just do? Now, Briseis was screaming to the top of her lungs and Keira was still on the ground, with tears in her eyes. "Baby." I mumbled. Keira's lip was shivering as she was looking right towards the door. My mom was standing in the door, with anger. She's never seen this side of me.
My mom took Briseis out of her car seat. "What the hell has gotten into you? Have you lost your mind, Alfred Carruth, III?" I took a deep breath in. Keira got up and finishing putting things in Briseis's bag. "Baby, you still going home with me?" I questioned. Keira threw one of Briseis's bottle at my head. Luckily I ducked in time. "Hell no! I'm not, why would you ask a stupid question like that? You can come see your daughter and that's about it, see her." See her? I can only see her? I turned to my mom, of course she wasn't taking my side, cause she never does.
Keira took Briseis and she sat down in the wheelchair outside waiting for her. "You ready to go see Grandpa and Aunt London?" She asked a sleeping Briseis. I rolled my eyes. Her ass would go there. She'll probably tell him and Lansing will show up ready to murder me. "Call me when you wanna see your daughter. And that's only it, when you wanna see Briseis." Keira said as she was being rolled away. I can't believe this! I slammed my Iphone unto the ground. This wasn't suppose to be happening.
