Phase 1-The Doubt

These nights are always the silent ones.

For hours we stood there trying to find them,

Trying to find our reflections,

How can one be consumed by so much hate?

That we can barely recognize ourselves.

We can feel the anger trying to find a sanctuary,

Of course we want to give in,

The countless times we were wronged,

Lied to by our hypocritical friends,

That's enough we say, 

But we are weak and naive,

Even when we were are continuously mistreated,

Even when we were stabbed repeatedly,

We forgive; we tell ourselves we forgive,

And for months, years, we believe that we forgave.

Again we fight the same battles!

Again we were wronged!

And again we forgive!

It's these nights that are the most silent,

The nights when we hear everything,

The same nights when we hear the cries from our hearts...
