 Mr. Poverty,

I see you have joined us once more,

Dressed in your lavish suit and tie,

Plotting to have another innocent die,

But why Mr. Poverty,

Why are your hands so far reaching?

Stretching all around this world,

Without uttering even a single word,

You have broken homes, lives,

You have caused and listened as the thousands have cried,

You have left them without a place to take shelter,

You know that they are dying from hunger,

While you sit here laughing and doing nothing,

Allowing this world we love, to burn and plunder,

Eating all different kinds of dishes and meals,

While each day they are faced with new challenges,

New wounds which may never heal,

Mr. Poverty,

Why does your hand cripple all that it touches?

While you sit there, in your cozy couches and beds,

Thinking that there is nothing better than home,

But what do they have Mr. Poverty?

Nothing but cardboard boxes and Styrofoam,

You have taken from them and soon you will from us,

Only they don't know where there next meal will come from,

I speak to the man in the suit and the tie,

Why continue to let them die?

-Let us give them our hands to drink from,

Let us unite and build them houses,

Let us fight so that they can survive,

We can start by saving one,

And end by saving all,

By giving them the hope that they deserve,

Let us destroy the reaches of Mr. Poverty,

Let us be neither the silent nor soul less.

Let us be #TheVoiceOfTheVoiceless!
