I gently caressed each stanza,
Its words mocking me with their beauty, a tease,
They lay there on the paper following my eyes,
They watched as I tried to penetrate its barrier,
As I got closer to understanding, they became alive,
Her words began to dance,
It danced in such an exquisite manner,
A style that urged me to hold it closer to my heart,
O! How I wanted to hold her.
Its poetic elegance was arousing to the mind,
I wanted to understand.
I needed to understand.
She wouldn't listen to anything; the rhythmic beats of your heart,
She's soft, and her sorrowful sweet voice soothed the pain,
Relax my friend,
Breathe.
Allow your fingers to glide through her hair,
Use your eyes to delve into her soul,
Until you can almost taste her,
The sweetness of each word, her lips,
Stop rejecting her,
Give in!
