WITH THE REBELLIOUS CHILDREN WHO RAN AWAY....

Lily couldn't be dead.

Then why is she just lying there?

She can't be dead.

"LILY!" James was screaming at the top of his lungs, tears streaming down his face. "You can't die! You can't d... What...?" He looked over and saw that his brother was screaming as well - only no sound was coming out of his mouth. It was the same for all of them.

It hit him. Voldemort had put a silencing charm on all of them - probably Lily as well. Maybe she just wasn't hearing them scream for her... maybe she wasn't dead.

Relief washed over James. There was still hope for his sister - even if it might be slim, there was still hope...

James had long since lost all feeling in his leg, and for some reason he felt so incredibly weak and sick. I have to stay strong, he thought, for Albus. It was unusual for James to be the backing down type - he was usually the leader, and if the others saw him like this, they'd surely follow his lead and give up. But if James acted like nothing was wrong and he could go on, they would do their best...

James would gladly give himself for his sister. Even though he never acted like it, Lily meant a lot to him, and to his parents as well. They didn't - shouldn't - have to lose their only daughter. Lily was his mother's pride and joy, her little girl that she got to spoil, and if Lily died, Ginny would be crushed.

As for Harry? Merlin, he'd never forgive himself, James knew that. Lily and Ginny were close, but in some situations Lily would only stand for Harry. Ginny was very straight forward, and James knew what how Lily felt, like she needed Harry sometimes. Harry, who whould listen to your problems all the way through. Harry, who would make you grin when you were crying. Harry, who would go out of his way to make sure you were happy no matter what. For the first time, James thought of what was happening through his father's perspective. God, he must feel terrible. Harry always wanted to do what was best for them - he always put his family before anyone. He must feel like he failed, just like James did...

They wouldn't lose her. Or Tonks. Or anyone. James would make sure of it.

He let his mind wander, but his eyes stayed on his sister. After a minute he became aware of what he was remembering from about two days ago - locking the house before they left and then slipping the keys in his back pocket...

They were still there.

He could cut his way out.

James inwardly smiled. Voldemort was stupid, after all.

MEANWHILE, WITH THE ADULTS...

The air was thickening - and Ginny (O) was frantic. She had tried the Reducto Curse many times, getting nothing from it. She feared she'd never see her daughter's face again.

"We have to do something," she urged. "We have to get out of here!"

"If only Neville were here," said Luna. "He'd know how to get us out."

"Why Neville?" Dean wondered.

"Because he does stuff with plants. Plants give oxygen, don't they?"

"WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY THAT SOONER?" Ron (O) slapped a hand over his face.

"I know a spell!" Hermione (Y) piped. "We can grow plants with it... oh, if only I could remember the incantation..."

Hermione (O) suddenly let out a long "OHHHHHHH" and said, "I remember it!"

After a few minutes, both the Hermiones were still trying to get it to work, but as the seconds ticked by, the air became less. They were all breathing faster and more instinctivly. After another minute of silence except for the girls' muttering, Ginny (Y) stood up from her spot on the ground and said, "Okay, this isn't working."

"I think we're saying it wrong, give us a minute," said Hermione (O), frowning and biting her lip.

"We don't have a minute," Ginny (Y) insisted.

"So... This is it, then?" Sirius looked around at everyone's grim expressions. "We're just going to die right here?"

It was quiet. Ginny (Y) sat down again, staring at the wall and saying nothing.

"I... If I knew this woud happen, I would have agreed for us to go back," Remus admitted quietly.

"We couldn't go back without Tonks," said Harry (O). "Teddy wouldn't have been here."

"Wait, what?" Audrey asked blankly. "Tonks? I'm missing something..."

"Show them."

All the people's disguises came off, and everyone who didn't know about them being in the future gasped in shock, but decided not to say anything, for the reason that they were losing air.

"Well," said Fred (past), sighing, "it was good to know you guys, even if this is an... odd... situation."

George (Y) snorted. "Odd? More like excedingly awkward... when they turned up in Grimlaud I never thought this would happen. It escilated quite quickly, don't you think?"

"It all did," Harry (Y) agreed.

"This is terrible," Angie said quietly.

"I'm feeling lightheaded," Roxanne commented faintly.

"Me, too," Victoire said, sitting down and putting her head in between her knees, Roxanne following her lead.

"This wasn't supposed to happen," Ginny (O) whispered tearfully, as her husband hugged her. "It wasn't supposed to end this way... We were supposed to - to save Lily and..."

"We just never get a rest, do we?" Arthur muttered.

"No," said Bill. "When Voldemort died, it was Happily Ever After for everyone, but now..."

"There is no Happily Ever After," said Harry (O), still holding Ginny (O) close, "we just took that ending and made it happy."

It was quiet for a second, until Roxanne started gulping for air. She managed to say, "I... can't... breathe..."

And at the same exact second, there was a faint cry of "REDUCTO!" and the wall blasted open, saving everyone's life.

Well, sorry this chapter took awhile. Like I mentioned before, I went to the Keys and HAD A BLAST, but don't think I don't have ideas coming. Be brepared, friends.
