Chapter 2

"Sonic?~ Are you home?" A sweet voice came down stairs. Crap, Amy... I rushed to the door and slammed the bathroom and locked it. "Sonic?" Her voice scared me from behind.

" Oh Hey Amy. What are you doing here?" I blocked the door from her.

" I just wanted to come over and hang out for awhile. And Sonic, why are you wet?" She looked at my soaking wet clothes, confused. "Why did you rush out of the bathroom?"

"Um, no reason. Right now is not a good time to be here Ames." I rubbed the back of head as she made a pouty face. A light splashing noise came from the bathroom, making Amy seem jealous and a bit angry.

"What was that? Who's in there?" She put her hands on her hips and stare at me with a angry face. I grabbed her by her shoulders and turned her around. I started to push her back down stairs. "Hey!" I just shoved her more, but not letting her fall down the stairs.

"Its nice to see ya Ames, but I'm busy right now. So you have to leave." I pushed her to the door and pushed her out. "See ya" I closed the door and locked it. Sigh. Thank god she's gone. I heard her pout and stomp away. Quickly changing into different clothes, I went back to the guy. He seemed to be doing fine but he was clutching his side. He was still out cold. Rolling up my sleeves, I went to work.

After taking care of all his wounds, he was finally done. He was breathing slowly but evenly for now and I was breathing easy knowing he was safe. I sat back and sighed with relief. I closed my eyes and relaxed, only to hear slight groan minutes later. Quickly looking at the source of the sound, only to see the guys eyes slightly opening. His crimson red eyes looked around quickly until locking onto my emerald green ones. We sat there for I don't know how long, until he started to freak out a bit by splashing around. Cringing in pain every few seconds.

"Whoa Whoa dude! It's okay! I'm not here to hurt you! I helped you!" I held my hands up to show I didn't mean harm. He stopped splashing around and stared at me. He was either thinking about talking to me or not to."I don't know if you can understand me or even talk. But I helped you." I said in a calmer, soothing voice.

I backed up to give him some space so he could feel safe. He wiggled around to get comfy, and clutched his side. He was in pain and I felt bad for him. It was silent for awhile till I heard his stomach rumble very quietly. I perked my head up at him as he wiggled his tail in the water. "are you hungry?.. I can get you something to eat." He looked at me and tilted his head. I gave him a small smile. "What do you eat?" He tilted his head again. "Y'know Food?..."He thought for a second.

"M...M-Meat." I was shocked. He actually talked. His voice was pretty deep and amazing. I nodded and got up. He must only know a few words. I walked out and went to the kitchen. I was gonna make chicken but I decided he needed it more than me. Maybe he might like it, I don't know.. I brought it back to him and he took the chicken and ate it hungrily. I wonder how long he has been without food.

" My names Sonic. What's yours?" I asked him softly, maybe getting his name. I smiled at him softly. He looked at me for a long while as he continued to eat the chicken. I watched him and he just looked away. I nodded as in for respect. "Are you still hungry?" He nodded a bit and I started for the door. I sighed.

"Sha...dow.." I paused and looked at him. He finished the chicken and didn't look at me. I smiled.

"Alright, Shadow." I walked out and got more food for him.

After filling him up on food, I was starting to get tired. I leaned against the wall and yawned. Shadow hasn't really talked at all. He seemed tired as well, but not much. I wiped up the water around the tub with a towel. Shadow then pulled his tail out of the water and hanged it over the towel I laid out and sunk into the water. Small bubbles formed and I just smiled. I still felt bad cause there was little room for him to move in. He flipped over and came up from under the water, laying on his stomach. Cringing a bit.

"...Sonic sleep... Shadow be fine." My eyes widen, this was the longest time I ever heard him talk. I smiled and nodded. He seemed to be getting tired now.

" Thanks. I'll bring you food in the morning." I walked to the door. "Hey, do you want a light on?" He tilted his head and I just went to get a light anyway. I grabbed a old night like and a few candles to keep some light on in the room. I told him good night and went to my bedroom. Passing out as soon as I touched the bed. Hopefully tomorrow will go better tomorrow..
