Sonic and the Missing Link

Chapter 12

(Silver's POV)

I had to leave the hospital, after making sure Sonic was okay. I had to spend some time with Mephiles and Blaze. But before I did, I wanted to check on how Tails and Shadow was doing. I'm sure they're heartbroken about Sonic.

I waited at the door, for Tails to answer. I sighed slightly, maybe he was asleep. Thank god the door was unlocked. I found tails asleep on the couch, hugging a pillow. I'll let him sleep, maybe Shadow is awake. I didn't hear any splashing when I started walking to the back. I was shocked to find the door open. Shadow wasn't in the pool, did someone take him?

~BANG~

I jump at the loud bang from upstairs and rushed to the sound. That's when I found him.. Shadow trying to get up. I was frozen in shock. He had legs! Thank god he had his legs crossed. I quickly threw a blanket on him before he could move.

"Hm?..." Shadow tilted his head, confused why I did that.

"Shadow... how did you get legs?" I help his stand and get a good balanced.He only shrugged.

" I see Sonic now?" He pleaded. I only sighed. He really did need to see him. I guess it wouldn't hurt..But he needs clothes first.

"Let's get you in something first.. Maybe Sonic has some spare clothes.." I saw Shadow's eyes widen. I sighed and we just happened to be in Sonic's room. I wonder how he even got up here..

To be honest, I don't think Shadow will fit in any of Sonic's clothes. Shadow was a bigger built than Sonic. Sonic was much thinner then Shadow. Shadow was a lot more muscular and bulkier than Sonic's thinner frame. I searched through his closet and drawers to find something that would fit him. All I could find was a pair of black jeans and a white t-shirt. Shadow was confused and I had to help him get dressed. Shadow had a little trouble keeping balanced, but I think he got the hang of walking. Maybe Sonic will be better if he sees Shadow. All we can do is hope.

(Shadow's POV)

The silver one said I could finally see Sonic! You don't know how much relief I was in. Sonic was in pain and I couldn't be with him. That was the problem till I got legs. I really don't remember how I got them.. But it was painful at first. I only sighed and try to keep my balance. How could humans do this? It was extremely hard to walk and keep your balance at the same time.

The silver one made us get into this weird metal thing. I was terrified and how we were moving around but we weren't walking.

Once we finally stopped, we were at this very large building. Silver grabbed my arm and lead me to the building. There was even more people in here then there was outside. I was confused and a little scared of all of this. I watched as he signed in something and we were walking again. I felt several stares, as we walked to this strange door. This girl with long brown hair walked up to me.

"Hey there, -----" I didn't understand a single word she said.

"Что ты сказал?" I tilted my head to the side. She looked at me very confused. The silver one then grabbed me and pulled me away, talking to the girl. She only nodded then walked away. Silver sighed as he pulled me along. I was very confused in this land. I just wished I could remember my past, before Sonic found me. I know that I lived in the ocean, but not where my home was. I wished I could just take Sonic and we could just go away. But he was mortal. The merpeople, we were basically immortal, we lived for a very long time. I know I will out live him, but not if he becomes of us. I sighed, getting brought out of my thought.

Silver opened the door, making my heart break the second I saw Sonic. He was bruised and hooked up to this weird machine thing. He was barely moving, by the looks of it. Only a small beeping noise echoed in the room, along with other machines.. My poor Sonic... He look sick. Now he was pale and dark marks was forming under his eyes. What was wrong with my Blue?.. Why does this have to happen my loved ones...
