The next day I woke up, alone. I got out of bed, but my head felt a little dizzy so I sat on the edge. A knock on the door made me turn around.
"Yes?"
The door opened a crack and Chase's head came into view. "Morning! Listen, we're going to the fair."
I gave him a questioning look. "The fair?"
"You know, rides, ice cream, food, more rides?"
"Oh! The fair," I giggled.
"Yeah! The fair!" He raised an eyebrow at me.
"Shush. It's like, 7:00 in the morning. My brain needs to, you know, uh, wake up," I smiled sheepishly at him.
He just rolled his eyes. "It's not even 7:00. Anyway, we're going there at 6:30, but we're doing something first, so get ready and come down for breakfast."
"Okie dokie. Now, shoo." I stood up.
He mock saluted me. As soon as the door was shut I skipped into the bathroom and turned on the shower. The warm water felt nice against my back. After I was done washing myself, I walked out of the bathroom with a towel around me. I bent over my suitcase and took out my black jeans, a black shirt with pink writing on it and put them on.
I half towel-dried my hair and left it dangling around me still a little wet. I put on some black socks and walked downstairs.
I was slightly surprised to see a few other people sitting around the table. Sasha was the only one who noticed I was standing there.
"Oh, Ashley!" She smiled at me.
"M-morning," I said shyly to them.
"Hey," one of the younger looking boys said. I smiled at him. He had short golden brown hair and a kind face.
"Ashley, let me introduce you to Chase's cousins," Sasha told me, I turned my head towards her. Surprised, I noticed Chase wasn't there.
I didn't know what to say, but Sasha carried on anyway. "This is Jake. He's 14," she gestured towards the boy who had talked to me earlier. He grinned at me.
"Hello, Jake." I smiled at him.
"This is Josh and he is 17." She nodded towards the older boy. Josh also had golden brown hair but brown eyes.
"It's nice to meet you," he murmured. Sasha pushed me towards the table. I sat down on a chair and put my hands in my lap.
"Nice to meet you too," I replied.
"And, this is Sophie and she's 16," Sasha told me. She walked around the table to the fridge and opened it.
"Hello, Ashley!" Sophie smiled brightly at me. She had blonde hair with brown highlights. Her eyes were blue like Chase.
Before I could reply a loud bang came. I turned around in my chair to see Chase running down the stairs.
When he saw everyone looking at him, he grinned. "I see you've met my cousins!"
"Yep," I returned, simply.
"Chase Streedyr, how many times to I have to tell you not to run down those stairs?" Sasha yelled at him.
Chase's grin just got broader. "Uh, maybe, it's the hundredth time!"
Josh snickered. I turned around, just in time to see Sasha roll her eyes and shake her head. Chase came and sat in the chair next to me.
"Who wants some orange juice?" Sasha asked us, a bottle of orange juice in her hand.
"Me!" Chase and Jake yelled. I chuckled at them. Whilst Chase looked like Sophie, he also looked like the boys.
