Dedicated to my school librarian for always tolerating with me and my friends. HAHA. I love her! <3 xD

Falling on my bed, I let out a sigh of relief. I'd finished eating, my homework and all activities. Now, I was knackered and all I wanted to do was to get into my pj's and snuggle up in bed. But first, I had something I wanted to do.

Once again, Shane hadn't eaten with us and once again, I'd seen him storm out of Mr Lloyd's room. I hadn't asked the girls or Hunter and Gage why he wasn't eating with us. And they didn't seem to mind or notice.

I changed my clothes before going out of my dorm and walked down the stairs.

I bumped into June and Anna.

"Hey!" They greeted me with smiles.

I returned it warmly.

"What's up?" Anna asked.

"Oh, nothing. Just... going to the library to get a book," I replied. I felt bad for lying to them. Over the period of time that I'd been there, Anna and June had become my two best friends along with the boys' and Chase.

"Want us to come with you?" Jane asked with a friendly smile.

I shook my head. "No, it's fine. You guys can go. I'll stop by your room when I'm back, okay?"

The two nodded happily. We said our goodbyes and I promised I'll visit them when I got back. Jogging down the stairs, I went to the opposite direction of the Headmaster's office and walked up the next flight of stairs.

I knocked on the boys' Dorm Dad and he gave me a note.

Walking to room 333, I stopped by it. I couldn't hear anything but silence. For a second, I thought Shane might be asleep but it was too early. Slowly, I bought my knuckles up and knocked on his door.

Ten seconds later, the door opened. Shane was still in his uniform, only his blazer, tie and shoes were off.

"Hey," I smiled at him.

His hair was messy and his face was turned into a frown. I couldn't see into his room and it looked like he was trying to hide something.

"What do you want?"

Shocked by his tone of voice, I swallowed. "Um... I just came to see if you were okay... I mean, you haven't been eating with us for the past few days and-"

"So?" Shane looked bored.

What was up with him?

I shook my head. It was a bad idea. I shouldn't have come. It was non of my business why he wouldn't eat with us. I shouldn't have come. He might have had an argument with Hunter or someone...

But no one - not Hunter or Gage or Anna - seemed to be sad.

"Never mind. I-I just..." I stopped and started again. "I see you're good. Well, I'll see you tomorrow." I turned around, not waiting for his response and left the corridor. I thought he might try and stop me or explain but as I left, I heard him shut the door and I knew he wasn't going to come out.

I wasn't upset. I wasn't happy either.

First Alice, now Shane...

I wasn't tired anymore and I had nothing to do. Alice wouldn't be back anytime soon, as she was helping her Art teacher with something so I decided to go to the library like I'd told June and Anna. As always, the library managed to make me feel better. My consolation. I grabbed a random title and took it to the very back of the library. Setting my book down, I sat and looked around. There wasn't much people around. Only a few. At the far end, was a group of six, studying furiously. They were boys and girls.
