After the scene in the park, we decided to go back home and watch a movie, till Sasha came home. This time, we just settled for a cartoon, Lion King. I made us sandwiches.

"Here you go," I murmured, handing Chase his plate. We'd hardly talked. Well, I'D hardly talked to him. I wasn't sure why. I didn't even know what it meant, the kiss. Or the kisses. The one in the tree.

"Thanks," he smiled and took his plate. He played the movie and started eating. Once again, he was sitting on the floor, his back against the sofa, this time.

Instead of looking at the TV, I stared at the back of his head. The owner of the shaggy blonde hair. His hair was a bit longer, from the first time I saw him. I wanted to put my hand in his head, but I clenched my hands.

What about Shane? My mind asked.

What about him? I shook my head and picked up my sandwich. I didn't like Shane like that. I didn't like Chase like that either.

I bit into the sandwich. Suddenly, the ham and salad didn't taste so good. I swallowed and flinched.

"Chase, I'm going to go and lie down. Okay?"

He looked at me, chewing. "Sure."

"Sorry," I said. I stood up and put my plate on the table in front of us.

"It's fine," he said and turned back to the TV.

I nodded and turned around. I walked up the stairs, slowly. When I finally got to my room, I shoved the blankets aside and fell in. I sighed.

Why did I suddenly feel so bad?

I stared at the white wall in front of me.

I just sit there, on my mom's favourite chair, staring into space. I keep hearing those words agian. In my head.

"They were murdered. They were murdered. They were murdered..."

I blink and a tear escapes. It rolls down my cheek and onto my hand. I ignore it.

"They were murdered..."

"No!" I scream.

I sat upright. I opened my eyes, only to close them again. It was so bright. I forced my eyes open again, blinking a few times to get my eyes adjusted to the light. I began to take in my surroundings. White walls, with dotted flowers...

I then realised that strong arms were holding my shoulders. I looked up.

Chase and Sasha were looking down at me, their faces covered with concern. Chase was still holding my shoulder. Sasha sat down on the bed.

I was wet. I was sweating and crying.

"Honey. Are you okay?" She asked me, in a soft motherly tone.

I looked up at Chase, then back at her.

"I... Had a nightmare. The news..." I looked away from her.

"Are you okay?" She asked again. "Do you need anything?"

I looked at her. "Yes. I'll be.. Fine."

She hugged me softly and I returned it.

"Okay. Well, I'll leave you now. Rest. But, if you need anything tell me or Chase. Okay?" She stood up.

"Y-yes. Thank you," I tried to smile at her, but I couldn't. She nodded once before slipping out of the room. Leaving me and Chase.

My eyes adjusted to the light. Chase let go of my shoulder and sat where Sasha had been sitting just seconds ago.
