Have you ever sat in a tree with two kids who almost killed you when you first met them, when the bottom of the tree is surrounded with things trying to kill you now, and you are turning into the thing that could have killed you simply if it felt like it. No wait. I guess you haven't. I'll just have to describe the feeling to you. Well, it sucks. Especially when your face is morphing into a snout and sprouting fur, which is physically painful enough compared to the emotional feeling of hopelessness consuming your soul.

^^^ Just an insight into my world for ya there.

I looked up the trunk of the tree, my eyes stung as the sun entered my vision. I blocked the sun with my hand, encasing my face in shadows. My eyes quickly adjusted to the change of light, and focused on Gretal. She had climbed to the top of the tree, lying on the thinner branches that would snap under me or Hansel's weight. She had more room up there, she was lying down, one arm hanging off the edge of the branch lazily, gently swinging back and forth with the natural sway of the wind. I sighed, the heat was really getting to me, and the fur sprouting all over my body wasn't helping. Hansel glanced over at me, wondering what the sigh was for.

"I'm not ganna make it." I croaked

"We'll help you get through this." He smiled half heartedly.

"It's too late. The stupid castaways aren't going away and more fur is coming. I'm screwed Hansel."

"Red-" I cut him off.

"I can see it in your eyes. Your afraid of what I am I going to become. Afraid you'll have to kill me." I wiped off the layer of sweat building up on my forehead. I caught sight of my hand. My nails were getting longer, and pads were begging to appear on my palm. Hansel hung his head, knowing I was right. I twitched my ears, something I was not capable of doing until they moved to the top of my head and became big and pointy. I looked up to where the noise was coming from. Gretal had moved into a crouching position. Her expression was sad, troubled.

"You don't have long. A few minutes at the most. Im going to distract them. I want you to run back to the stream, and from there, straight to Gretchid's house. Get the antidote. Cure Red." She smiled at us "I'll see you there." Before we could react she quickly extended her legs, springing backwards and free falling from the branches of the tree. The Castaways hungrily waiting below her.
