Yoongi's POV (swag daddy is back)
The days after Christmas were un-eventful for the most part. I had decided that I needed to get Jungkook a present, since I obviously forgot to get him one for Christmas. So here I am now, on New Years Eve, setting up Jungkooks present, a new bed, in his small, but oddly spacious room.
Jungkook had left the apartment early. Taehyung had called him out of the blue, and Jungkook rushed out of the house, muttering a small goodbye to me. It surprised me to say the least, because as far as I knew, for the past few days, Taehyung had been ignoring Jungkooks calls and the boy had been distraught over it.
On the way out I could hear the younger boy talking to Taehyung about the supposed 'incident' that had happened on Christmas and telling Taehyung to "stop apologising already" and that "it was an accident" which left me confused because I didn't even realise the two best friends had had a proper falling out.
And although I was left in question, I was thankful that Jungkook was not home today, for a couple of reasons. Firstly, because I wanted his belated christmas present to be a surprise. Secondly, because I was currently making a fool of myself whilst trying to set up said present. And finally, and probably most importantly, because I was trying to understand my feelings for Jungkook.
I had come to the definite conclusion that I, in the short period of 3 and a bit months, had fallen for my younger roommate. And I had apparently fallen quite hard. In fact, after admitting my feelings to myself, I had started noticing things I hadn't noticed before. Like how I would stare at the boy all the time. How I would find myself smiling at everything he says or does because he seems to make even the simplest things look adorable. And how I would find myself wanting to be next to him, hug him and smell him (as creepy as that sounds).
Yeah.
I had it bad.
So being without the boy for a few hours would give me time to think about these 'feelings'.
At least that's what I thought. Before I knew it, the bed was finished (god knows how) and I was getting ready for Jin's annual New Years Eve party.
Usually, the party was just a small get together, with myself, Jin, Namjoon and Hoseok, where we would get drunk, sing karaoke (much to my disliking) and watch the midnight countdown on TV while eating ice-cream. But this year, Jimin, Jungkook and Taehyung would also be joining the party.
I had decided to wear ripped skinny jeans and a hoodie, seeming as we would be inside and also because I didn't really care too much about my appearance. It was just my friends anyway. Oh. And Jungkook. But that boy had seen me in my pyjamas after just waking up so I doubt he would care. Why would he care? Why do I care?
Ugh. I hate feelings.
Jungkook had texted me saying he would meet me there. So I locked up the apartment, and made my way to Jin's place.
When I arrived, about 15 minutes later, Jimin, Jin, Jungkook and Taehyung were already there. I made my way inside, greeting every one, almost having a heart attack as I came to Jungkook. He was wearing an oversized stripped sweater and his hair, which was usually left over his forehead was somewhat styled, parted at the front. But what really caught me off guard was his tight leather jeans that were hugging his toned thighs perfectly. I had to take a double take. He looked good. Really good.
"J-Jungkook... Your hair..." I manage to stutter out, without even saying hello first. He reaches up and touches it, not catching on at first. Then realisation flashes through his eyes.
"oh, yeah, Taehyung styled it for me. Do you... Do you like it?" He asks shyly, and I give him a nod.
"It looks really good Kookie." I say, blushing as Jin snorts at the nickname that rolls of my tongue. Jungkook mutters a small 'thanks' and blushes slightly.
"I told you he'd like it Kook!" Taehyung yells from the kitchen, a smirk plastered on his face. Jungkooks eyes widen as he looks at the orange haired alien. I noted that they must be on good terms again after their supposed falling out. I sighed.
"Hyung~!" He yells out in embarrassment and I smile at how cute he is. Jin catches my sight, and gives me a teasing smirk, wiggling his eyebrows as he mouths 'whipped' at me. I roll my eyes and give him the finger.
Oh God tonight was gonna be a long night.
After about half an hour, Namjoon arrived, (much to Jin's delight), with lots of alcohol. Perfect. Just what I need to get me through the night without being to caught up on the beautiful black haired boy and his perfect legs. Ugh his legs. What a fucking tease.
I'm sat next to Jimin on the couch, drinking a beer and trying to listen to his stories about America, and not focus on Jungkook who is sitting on the opposite lounge giggling at a joke Namjoon had said. Right at this moment, Jimin was informing me about the many friends he had made during his time abroad.
"And I met so many awesome people. American people are so cool..." He explained, as the door opened revealing a smiling Hoseok holding even more beers. Hoseok's eyes scanned the room, and he waved as he saw me, making his way to the couch, but stopping as his eyes landed on Jimin, smile dropping suddenly.
Jimin on the other hand, continued his story. "This one guy Joshua was so nice; we became great friends. He was really cute too-" He suddenly stopped as his eyes met Hoseok's. "N-No way... He's here? Shit." Jimin cursed and got up from the couch. I looked at him giving him a look of confusion.
"You know Hoseok?" I ask, and he shuffles in his seat, looking at the equally shocked Hoseok and then back to me.
"I gotta go to the bathroom. Sorry Yoongi." He says suddenly and gets up, quickly exiting the room, Hoseok watching, looking like he'd seen a ghost. I watch Jimin slam the bathroom door and hear the lock clicking. I look at Hoseok, trying to make sense of the situation, but he just looks pale and in shock.
"Hobi! Welcome!" Jin yelled, snapping Hoseok out of his daze, as Jin walked over to hug his friend. "Oh! I have to introduce you to my cousin, Jimin. Now where did he go?" Jin said, his eyes searching the room for his missing cousin.
"No need." Hoseok says simply, patting Jins shoulder. "We've already had the pleasure of meeting." He says with a bitter tone, and makes his way into the kitchen.
Huh?
