17 - birthday

Third persons POV

The 19 days had flown by quicker that Jungkook had thought. And, just as he suspected, Yoongi hadn't asked him out.

Sure, they were still affectionate to each other. Yoongi would greet Jungkook with a morning kiss as he made his way into the kitchen, and Jungkook would cook breakfast, letting Yoongi flood him with compliments of how cute he looked in his apron.

When College came around, they were both up to their necks in assessment, but they still found time for each other, Jungkook often massaging Yoongi's back when he got tense and stressed, and Yoongi hugging Jungkook from behind when the younger boy read his assigned books.

Both boys also had jobs, Jungkook at a small cafe where Jin worked and Yoongi in a library. The latter had also scored a once-off job as a photographer for a small print office, and made a few extra dollars, using the money to buy jungkook the new blender he wanted, which made the younger extremely happy.

And although they were busy, they still found time to share small, precious moments. Quick kisses before classes, holding hands under the table at lunch, cuddling on the couch late at night. All small things that both boys would treasure forever.

It was bliss. It was complete and utter bliss. But the two boys were yet to make anything official. It didn't bother Jungkook too much, but it didn't sit right with him either. So, he was going to have to make the first move. Obviously Yoongi was way to nervous to ask himself.

So that brought them to today. Yoongi's birthday. Jungkook had woken the older up with a kiss on the cheek and breakfast in bed, and as the blushing older ate, he explained his plan for today.

"A road trip?" Yoongi asked, as Jungkook told him the plan. "To the sea? It's still cold out Kookie" He said smiling, and Jungkook nodded.

"We don't have to swim! Its really pretty this time of year, and it will be fun to go somewhere with everyone to celebrate! Namjoons already organised everything." Jungkook rambled excitedly, and Yoongi smiled a little in adoration. How could he say no to such a cute face.

"It sounds perfect Kookie" Yoongi said, placing a soft kiss to the blushing younger boys forehead.

And so, they were off. Jungkook had called both of their work places, asking for a couple of days off, so they were free to enjoy themselves. Namjoon, Jin, Taehyung, Jimin and Hoseok were coming along too, which would make everything even better.

Jin drove them to their destination; a beautiful beach with white sand and clear blue water. They drove along the flat sand across the beach, wind flowing through their hair and smiles on their faces. The salty smell of the sea filled their noses, and Jungkook was happy at the sight of a smiling Yoongi enjoying the sea breeze.

They stopped the car, and went to explore the beach, Namjoon and Taehyung racing along the sand, Jin filming them on his little cam-corder, laughing at Namjoon who was throwing seaweed at his little brother. Hoseok and Jimin collected shells, and held hands walking down the shore. The two had recently started dating, much to everyones complete surprise. But they were really happy for the unlikley couple none the less.

Yoongi and Jungkook stayed behind the others, walking slowly, taking in the view. Yoongi took out his camera and took a couple snaps of the blue water, the bright sun and the white sand (and one of Jungkook, but the younger pretended not to notice to save the older from embarrassment).
