35 - to friends and new beginnings

Third person's POV

2 DAYS SINCE THE KISS:

Jungkook had spent a couple more nights at Jin's, before he decided he'd stayed long enough.

It wasn't easy to pack up his things: this had been his sanctuary after all the shit that had gone on lately, and he owed Jin his life for looking after him. Jin was more than happy to let him stay, but Jungkook disagreed. It was time to let Jin have his house back again. No more sobbing Jungkook to comfort and cook for.

So he manned up, picked up the phone, and dialled the person he knew he could rely on the most.

His best friend.

4 DAYS SINCE THE KISS:

Taehyung's dorm was messy; covered in empty soda bottles, dirty clothes and various manga's, but Jungkook was grateful he was letting him crash for a couple nights.

Taehyung was happy to have him, even though Jungkook had been pretty M.I.A lately. He was so caught up in Yoongi's mess, that he hadn't realised how much he'd left Taehyung in the dark over the last month.

Taehyung was a little upset; at the fact that Jungkook hadn't called sooner. But they were best friends, and he understood Jungkook's reasons (even if it did make him want to punch Yoongi in the face a little).

Jungkook explained everything; from Yoongi's mum, to the fight, and even the small kiss they shared in the sunrise.

"Too much info man" Taehyung had said, with his signature gagging noises, showing off his mock-disgust at the mushy details.

It was fun to catch up; Jungkook had missed the carefree nights of laughter and drinking with Tae, and Taehyung had missed having his best friend around. It was nice.

And simple.

And it almost made Jungkook forget that he had an important decision to make about his relationship with Yoongi.

(Almost).

9 DAYS SINCE THE KISS:

Jungkook didn't last long at the dorms; it only took 5 days until he kicked out by the uptight dorm management after a surprise room inspection.

Luckily though, Hoseok was kind enough to let him stay in his spare room at his share house. It was cramped, but cosy, and Jungkook was thankful that he had such lovely friends. Hoseok never pried, or questioned things between him and Yoongi, but it was obvious he knew certain details.

Jin was a bit of a gossip, after all.

At any rate, Jungkook was glad for the silent support.

12 DAYS SINCE THE KISS:

Jungkook had also caught up with Jimin, during his time at Hoseok's.

Jimin visited Hoseok pretty much everyday, greeting him with a peck on the lips.

Jungkook wasn't aware that they were an official couple now, though he wasn't surprised. They suited each other perfectly, and seeing them so happy together made him miss how things used to be between him and Yoongi.

Seeing his friends, after weeks of sitting in hospital chairs, fighting with Yoongi and self absorbed sadness, really put into perspective just how much he had blocked himself off from the world. He was so focused on everything going on with him and Yoongi, that he hadn't made time for anyone else. He'd pushed himself away from his friends, from his study. He lost his job at the cafe, after taking too many days off.

And while all the drama was happening, he didn't think anything of it. He used Yoongi as an excuse to forget about his own life.

It was then, after almost 2 weeks of couch-hopping and trying to figure out what he was doing, that it hit him:

If he was going to move forward with Yoongi, he'd have to improve himself first. Sort out his own shit, all of it, before he let Yoongi back in...

Jungkook knew what he had to do.

HI YES I STILL EXIST.

I'm gonna keep this short, because it's 1am, I'm a bit delusional, and I have work tomorrow, but... HERE'S THE CHAPTER!!

(cue line I've said like 124783 times but) there's only a few chapters left!! Like 2 or 3! And I'll try to upload as quickly as I can!!
