Third Person's POV

*THE NEXT DAY*
~~~
To say Yoongi was nervous would be the biggest understatement in the history of understatements.
He had his whole day planned out; wake up, make Jungkook breakfast, take him on a surprise trip to the beach (the same beach they went to all that time ago) and pop the question.
The question.
Queue the nausea and nerves.
It didn't seem like a difficult plan to follow. It was simple, right?
...Wrong...
The first thing that went wrong was Yoongi's alarm. It didn't go off, because he was an idiot and forgot to put his phone on charge before falling asleep. So instead of waking up early to cook his boyfriend french toast, he woke up to the smell of toast already wafting into the bedroom from the kitchen.
Jungkook, the angel that he was, had made him eggs on toast.
The second thing that threw Yoongi from his plan was the weather. It was raining. And not just sprinkling either. It was bucketing down outside. So the romantic scenery of the beach wasn't looking like an option at this point.
Yoongi considered taking Jungkook to the cafe where they first properly met. Well, technically they met in Jin's car, but still; the sentiment was there. But he wasn't one for making a public spectacle out of their relationship. Proposing to Jungkook in a public space was far too out of his comfort zone, and he knew it would just stress his boyfriend out.
He was so stressed about hiding the secret, and the little silver ring, that he even considered proposing right there in the apartment. But he couldn't. Though they were in a good place, the apartment held some not-too-fond memories.
But it didn't matter, because even if he wanted to get Jungkook out of the house, he couldn't. The boy had been on a Skype call with his mum for the past 2 hours. They both liked to talk. A lot.
Jungkook had been putting in a solid effort to talk to his mother, despite their distance from each other, and his mum had been working to patch up her relationship with her son. It was heartwarming to see, and Jungkook had never seemed so happy.
'I'm telling you Mum, it's an original copy! I got it at a vintage store almost a year ago.' Jungkook was making a ruckus, shuffling through draws and looking on shelves to find his vintage copy of The Great Gatsby. Jungkook always said that book was great literature, but over-hyped. Still, he jumped at the chance to get his hands on an original copy when he'd found it.
'I believe you, hun. But honestly, you don't have to-'
'Yes, I do have to find it, if that's what you were going to say. I know you love F. Scott Fitzgerald. I meant to bring it on my last visit.'
'I'm just saying, don't stress yourself out trying to find it. It's fine, really.' His mum chuckled at her son's frantic searching.
'Well I've started, so there's no stopping me now.' He huffed, and walked into the bedroom. Yoongi smiled. He could hear the muffled sound of drawers being searched.
Wait... Drawers being searched...
Bedside table... Drawers...
'Shit!' Yoongi bolted up from his seat on the couch and made his way to the bedroom. He'd completely forgotten he'd hidden the-
