04 - "suga"

Yoongi

It had been only a few hours since I met Jungkook, but I had spent them thinking about what had gone down during the bus trip to Namjoon's. I still wasn't sure what to make of the things Jungkook had told me on the bus, and I felt a little guilty about prying into his private life. But no matter how guilty I felt, I still felt giddy and happy about what had happened today...

FLASHBACK

When Jungkook and I got on the bus, an awkward silence fell upon us for the umpteenth time today. I was looking out the window at the passing houses and people while Jungkook sat stiffly beside me, again, playing with his sweater. Suddenly, a question popped into my head.

Why are we going to Namjoon's apartment and not to Jungkook's own home? Now that I thought about it, it did seem strange. I mean, he was Taehyung's friend, and even though Namjoon was his step brother, it was odd that he would stay with Namjoon and not with Taehyung and his parents.

My curiosity soon got the best of me, so I turned to face the younger boy. "Hey Jungkook..." I say, and his head snaps up at my voice. He blinks a couple of times as if trying to get his eyes to focus.

"Yeah? What's up?" He replies quietly. I look at my hands and furrow my brow.

How do I ask this?

"Uh, so I was wondering... Why are we going to Namjoon's place, and not to your house?" I ask and his eyes widen, suddenly becoming some-what nervous. "I mean, I don't mean to pry or anything, I was just thinking, and, yeah..." I trail off, looking back to my hands, regretting asking him after seeing his uncomfortable reaction.

"No, no, its fine... uh." He begins, thinking a bit before continuing. "I'm staying with Namjoon at the moment I guess. Just sleeping on his couch. It was near my old college so it was just practical." He says shrugging. I guess that makes sense, but Taehyung's house is just as close to his old college. Strange.

But Jungkook wasn't done. "Originally, I was going to stay at my own home, but I had some, uh, issues with my parents, and I can't stay there anymore. Taehyung's parents are going through problems too, so I didn't want to burden them even more by staying at his house." Jungkook explains, a sad expression on his face. My heart stings thinking about what he possibly could have been through.

"So that's why Namjoon happily let me stay at his place. Now that I've moved colleges though, I have to find somewhere else to stay. The commutes too far, and I can't drive, so public transport is my only option." He explains. "Plus, with Namjoon bringing home girls every night, it can get irritating and hard to study." He sighs.

My stomach drops at the mention of Namjoon bringing home girls. Poor Seokjin. He is obsessed with Namjoon. If he knew....

"Anyway, that's the whole story I guess..." Jungkook cuts me from my thoughts. I nod and hum in response. Wow, he's been through a lot... And he has to find a new place to stay now? Poor guy.

"So what about you Yoongi, tell me about yourself" Jungkook asks. He takes me by surprise. For a boy who seemed extremely shy during lunch, he was certainly talking quite a bit.

Tell him about myself? How do I answer that? I am possibly the most boring person on earth, and my personal life is not all that interesting, or happy for that matter.

It's not like I can say; 'I'm min Yoongi, 20 years old. I have chronic anxiety problems and am not good at talking to people. I have about 3 friends, and spend my time at school, studying or inside, sleeping and reading.'

Gee, that would make me look great...

Luckily, before I can answer Jungkook, the bus pulls up at Jungkooks stop.

"I guess I'll be going then. You're sure you don't want to come in and say hi?" Jungkook says and looks at me with hopeful eyes. It takes all my power not to say yes after the look he gives me, but I somehow manage to shake my head.

"This bus goes past my place, so it would be easier to just stay on" I answer, and he looks disappointed. But he smiles at me anyway.

"Ok, see you later then..." He pauses and smirks. "Suga hyung!" and with that he runs off the bus, before I can say anything in return. My cheeks heat up as watch him hop off the bus and make his way down the path, stopping to wave at me as the bus goes past.

"see you... Jungkookie..."

END OF FLASH BACK

I smile at the memories from earlier today. Jungkook really is something. I didn't know what, but he was something. With his raven hair, pale skin and pink cheeks, and his cute little bunny smile that grows wide when he laughs.

And his laugh. It was magical.

Yoongi, stop. Jungkook is a BOY. Remember?

My confusing thoughts were interrupted, much to my relief, as I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket, signalling I had a message. I opened my phone and saw the message was from Jin.

FROM: PRINCESS SEOKJIN:

5:35pm

Hey Suga! ;-)

I got Jimin from the airport, and we're coming home now. Just wanted to let u know I'll be stopping by ur place 2 pick up the book I left there last week.

--

I shake my head at the message. Of course he just invites himself over...

A few seconds pass before another message pops up.

FROM: PRINCESS SEOKJIN:

5:39pm

Oh, and btw... I think you meeting Jungkookie today was a great idea. I haven't seen you smile that much in a long time. I'm glad.

My eyes widen as I read the text. I feel a blush creep onto my cheeks, because I know Jin's right. I never talk or smile that much in general, but after things got bad with my mum, I have been emotionally drained, and incredibly anxious, constantly thinking about what could happen to her.

But today was, well, different. Jungkook made me feel, something. And after feeling nothing for so long, I was genuinely happy that I had met the raven haired boy.

If only I had known, just how much meeting him would change my life.

Yay! Another update.

I might not update for the next couple of days, as I will be a bit busy. Family stuff..

I hope you enjoyed this chapter (sorry it was boring).
