"I can't believe you Summer why couldn't you just leave Kevin alone now he's pissed"
"Oh he'll get over it by the way the boys were talking about you so basically they were talking shit about one another because of you" She explains while fixing her hair in the mirror, self absorbed bitch.
"They were not!" I snap, I storm out of the ladies room back to table to find Devin and Daniel talking about something. "Kevin still hasn't came back inside?" I sigh crossing my arms over my chest.
"Nope he's being a dumb ass and pouting or whatever just forget about-"
"I'm not just going drop it Devin, Kevin is your fucking friend" I snap "What's your excuse?" I ask turning to Daniel.
"He's probably pissed at me" He says simply with a shrug, I roll my eyes and walk out of Chick Fil A and see Kevin sitting on the curb.
"Are you okay?" I ask as I sit down beside him
"Yeah, I'm cool" He says shifting over uncomfortably
"You're lying"
"No I'm not why would you think that?"
"Because if you would have said it while looking at me and your not" I explain, he let's out a small chuckle and his eyes meet mine.
"I'm fine Lani"
"So.. you're calling me Lani now?" I smile
"Only you want me too.."
"Knock yourself out"
"I'm bout to knock Devin out if he doesn't watch his mouth"
"Kevin!" I laugh nudging him playfully
"Why don't you smile this much around Devin?"
"I don't know but he just pissed me off"
"Seems like he's been pissing everyone off today"
"We should really stop saying pissed"
"Yeah.."
"And now things are quiet again" I say awkwardly
"I know how to stop that"
"What are you going to go inside and beat Devin's ass?"
"Nah.. this" He says and kisses me.. Kevin Alston freaking kissed me. Something in me makes me kiss back even though it won't end well. "We should um.. keep this between us.. Devin really likes you and stuff.." He says pulling away.
"Yeah... I'm um going to go back inside" I say pulling myself to my feet and brushing my jeans that are surprisingly not dirty.
"Wait Lani?"
"What's up Kev?" I ask as I get to the door
"Was it good?" He smiles I shake my head sending him a wink and heading back to the table
What did I just do? If Devin finds out he's going to be really pissed and if Summer finds out she'll manipulate me.. Guess I really do need to keep this between us.
